tsk tsk! another fly unknowingly caught in the MTN spider web!
@coola: dont you know its MTN that has made gsm tariffs as high as they are! and its CC is the worst! are they still charging calls to CC? does anyone remember when they said per sec billing would only be possible 2yrs down the road? a few weeks later, Glo came out with per sec and then MTN comes out with per sec billling 2 wks later. it only shows what crooks r running things there!

No census official is here a'well but cant understand how a million people will count 150 people, that makes each count 1500 people in 4 days, is that realizable? As per third term, their cant be any justifiable or patriotic motive in extension of power except self perpetuation, aggrandizement, and parochial interests of the presidents and his sycophants, who convinced the president that without him the country wont stand. Obj should just play by the present rule, that is leave power 2007 and play the altruistic leader he has always being.

Abu! I can just imagine u... Ur baby in one hand and ur phone in the other! I wonder who you will save first if u accidentally slipped! Anyway... I use Yahoo 360 from the web. And esato emoticons are similar to most boards. Put the emotion between colons like '' or the usual : and ) ( or my fave ':p' . Check the help page.

And about 3rd term? Let me put it this way... IF GOD WANTS OBJ TO STAY ANOTHER TERM, YOU ALL CANNOT STOP HIM! The more I study the situation, the more I pray that Gods will be done. Shikena!

@coola: the baby has cat-like reflexes just like me so he'll land just fine.
as for 3rd term, dont bring God's will into it. no one knows God's will b4 or after it has been enacted. if we blame all of man's misdeeds on God's will we are saying man is blameless of all his sins.
the example u put didnt change into an emoticon.
i'll check the help menu.
why do some people's posting show thier phone while others dont?

@Deji: I can see that u disliked math at school. That would be one enumerator to 150 people.

@abu Three things you should know about God. 1. He is not a democrat. Theocracy is his preferred mode of Government. 2. His WILL can be known by man. 3. He uses any man, Saint or 'sinner' to govern ppl. Even evil Nebuchadnezzer was used by God. Interesting eh? Not what u will hear on AIT or the papers. @all Are AYA and Angel one of the Census officials? Them quiet o! ;p

Sorry to burst this bubble, coola, but theocracy WAS his preferred mode of government. And that was valid only with the Jews.

True. Very true. In this case I happen to know His will (and I'm not kidding; I am a minister of the Gospel, remember. He wants OBJ out of there on the double

True, but He does that not by default. He would prefer a righteous, honest leader. Remember, Nebu, Cyrus and co were "punishment" for Israel's mis-adventures. God clearly wanted righteous leaders for them - and for us too.

Scriptures is full of references to God's heart concerning leaders. He hates oppressors and would rather they are not in power. If in power, He would use them to work out some good INSPITE of those leaders' madness (OBJ has done some good in the last few years, no doubt).

Finally, it is clear from Scriptures and history that God's will is not always what is on ground. Why? He gave man free will. We often make choices that run contrary to God's desires - like a lady who marries a randy man; like the innocent child who dies because its mother wouldnt take her to the hospital, but sits at home praying and fasting; and like in 1999 when the incumbent was voted into office in Nigeria.

@all: now this is interesting discourse!
the point i was trying to make was close to AYA's. i dont believe God chooses every leader for us. its an easy way out of ignoring ur own civic duties.
i also believe that God wills things from the grand to the minuscule. some are way to obvious to ignore, one must recognize His handywork. but to say one can see it all, big and small....
aside from heavy issues, the Mtel should be on by saturday.

no; he does not change. but his methods do. his eternal attributes of jusctice, mercy, love etc do not change.

for example, back in the old testament, you had to sacrifice animals in the worship of god. now, he does not require that. the jews used to be led by prophets. now its different. even the early church practiced varying forms of administration.

stephen, philip and the other 'deacons' were selected through a form of popular 'vote', and right inside a church.

no; god does not change. he has not. god never was a theocrat. we gave him that name.

and if we want to strictly talk theocracy, nigeria must become a mono-religious state and then god would have to raise an undisputed prophet to lead us; someone none of us must question, regardless of what he does.

that is not the way it was in the beginning. theocracy did not come into existence until hundreds of years of man misbehaving on this planet.

nope. god never was a theocrat to start with. we made him one
