I deleted everything from the device manager, that related to the phone, however when i do the 'hold c and connect to usb' the computer automatically installs the phone and the usb flach drive, without opening the wizard. it just installs it all itself. i don't know what to try now.

The phone has to be off first. Is you phone off when you try it? |

O2 just told me the 27th for K750's to be in stock,damn i hope they come up with a software fix for the gprs asap

Thanx for updating the main post.
Here is one bug i found in the new firmware. When you got to emails, write new, add recepient, it shows as No Emails, No emails, No emails instead of my actual email adresses.
I remove all my contacts and re send them via bluetooth to see if the problem still persist.
Also i noticed a funny thing, when i highlight a No Email, i get an option of more, when i click that, i get an option to make a video call....??? Pretty wierd.

Question: for you knowledgeable types... How do I know if there is a more recent version of the firmware available? I know how I find out what version I'm using, but as far as I am aware, it never said on the the site what version was now out. Do you just regularly begin the process and see if anything happens? Surely there is a smarter way!

I am on IRL Vodafone, but my phone is sim free from O2. I also get the Message "Your device is not permitted to use this service"
I somehow was able to download to my PC the update setup exe "seus_setup118" and it extracted files to my PC. Is there any way to install this to my phone ? Or does anyone know how it works?

Looks like we got some more info from SE...Email from SE Call Center explained you need to update Java first. It has to be at least 1.4.2 for the SE Update Service to work (many people out there probably have 1.4.1 or earlier.)

yes, i got that originally, you have to have the phone drivers installed first, and be up to date with java...then it should work. |

Yes, the phone is off when i try, when i plug in the cable and hold down c together, nothin happens, the phone just boots normally and the software update doesn't do anything

When that happens try going to device manager and updating the driver by pointing to where you downloaded and unzipped it,then start the process from the beginning

That problem has been discussed in another thread. The solution is pretty simple. Sync with Outlook. Delete all contacts in the phone. Use advanced feature in sync software to copy all contacts back to the phone. Now all e-mail contacts show up as they should.
The video call option has also been reported before and will probably be removed in the next firmware release. |
