The phone is fully charged...it just keeps turning my phone on and off all the time even if i try and press the power button when the battery is in the phone...

Hi, the cable is faulty.
Contact faceoff and he will replace it straight away for you.
@ Doogz. Try following the instructions on the page below. Let me know the results

@ maxian_lyj. Try the same thing. If it fails then try it without connecting the cable until the software says power on the phone. If this fails then contact faceoff for a cable replacement.

Very wierd...my cable kept turning my phone on and off on my desktop computer, however when i switched it to my Laptop just to make sure it worked just fine
I was able to Undbrand and Upgrade the firmware for my phone just fine.
So maybe the COM port on my desktop is messed up and was causing the issue. Either way...good times. |

My K700i is doing the same thing with the cable I bought from face off - turning itself on and off repeatedly whilst the message "press on in the phone" stays on the server screen the whole time, but I opened the connectors on my cable just to look - and all the wires are already connected to the correct pins, so I dont know how my cable can be faulty. I hope it is the cable though, and not something on the phone! |

@ sonyeric guy
Only get as far as downloading multiserver
Unzip the file and run the install.exe and it instantly gives me the error.
I'm assuming this is due to the fact I run an AMD64 machine. Multiserver doesn't appear to be compatible with my hardware
I've emailed TMS to see if they have some sort of fix, but I'm not counting on it.
Looks like I'll have to go use a friends PC to do all this, which is a shame because I imagine I'd be doing firmware upgrades quite often and don't fancy lugging allover the place to get the job done |

@ Doogz there are issues with some hardware which prevents it from working. The priority of the totalserver team is to add support for new models at the moment, bugs are fixed gradually but this hardware compatibility has been around for a long time now so i doubt there will be a fix anytime soon.

Hey guys,
Have the K700i bought from a dealer here in the US and I was trying to do the firmware upgrade (R2AA003) AND debranding (it's an O2 phone).
I was able to get all the way to 98+% complete and got this error:
"0x002F14" Then, my phone won't work at all. Not turn on even after charging again. I've tried different f/w files. The "r2L" will only get to about 30% before the same error.
FaceOffMobiles(where I bought my credit) is NO help with support forum. They don't even answer.
HELP!
Thanks |

Just to let everyone interested know that I'm selling a T28 service cable (verified - I used it to debrand my O2 K700, all went smooth) on eBay. You can find it at:

Sorry for the inconvenience to everyone not interested.

Doogz: The fact that you are running an AMD 64 part has NOTHING to do with your ability to run the software.
You most likely have something going on with windows or your motherboard drivers. I use an Athlon64 for Multiserver frequently. Try actually downloading 1.32 from totalserver.net There wasn't an install.exe for me (sound virus like). I just unzipped the prog and it had multiserver.exe inside.

@Groo21
Windows is fine, did a clean install of XP Professional SP2 AND on a second drive XP 64-Bit Edition.
This still didn't work. Borrowed a friends AMD XP3000 (non 64-Bit) and it worked a treat.
So that rules Windows out. Must be my Motherboard, its totally up-to-date, again, when I did my clean install I also flashed the 'board with the latest BIOS and Chip Set.
I'm guessing it must be down to compatibility with MSI Motherboards, but even then the computer I used to sucessfully flash my phone used an MSI 'board so it must be a problem with 64-Bit 'boards.
I dunno
Edit:- btw, the install.exe was just an example, what I should have said was 'the install file' think mine was Client.exe, not off Total Server, as the link was broken at the time, got mine off the people whol provided the Cable.

Canīt someone make a sticky thread about Totalserver and cables?
Apparently it works for some people but for most it doesnīt, get serial cable and play it safe! Itīs not like it will dig a deep hole in your wallet anyway..
