@Float
Thanks for your tips. Eventually, I had to redo pairing and now native bluetooth works fine.
As to the TDK driver, I've got the following message from Yunisa:
Indeed, we have released a version of Microsoft Bluetooth Software that support the Microsoft hardware - Human Interface devices (HID), Microsoft keyboard and mouse. However, you need to purchase this upgrade from us. Please contact me if you want to purchase this upgrade.
However, I haven't heard from her for about a week since I requested that upgrade. I hope she hasn't confused it with the USB driver they released in March.
Meanwhile, I have both the PC Card (with widcomm stack) and the Microsoft Transceiver installed on my computer. So that I can plug the one I need. Apparently, they don't conflict even when both plugged at the same time.

Purchase the updated driver? What a 'good deal'. Damm this should be available free as we are the user of their TDK Card.
I'm very intresting in the bluetooth mouse but not until either MS driver work with the PCMCIA card or when TDK Driver support HID. Not to stick a HUGE MS-Bluetooth Key behind my notebook

I'm trying to edit the Phone Stored contacts on my T68i, however it only lets me list them in the left pane, when clicking on a number, the right pane shows the default phone info screen.
When clicking the sub item "Phone contacts" it shows in the right pane what should be a list, but the list is totally blank.
SIM stored contacts works fine.
Any ideas? Thanks..

doh!
nevermind handy piece of software anyway, uploading games and ringtones and stuff!
O and I take it you export your messages to back it up? How do you then reupload them to your phone? |

@antim,
i actually called microsoft and they sent me this 45 step process to do it. i will add it below. you can stop at 28 unless you want to use your phone as a dialup modem. once i got to this point i still had a little difficulty getting fma to connect the first time - go into options and put the address of the phone in manually. you can find that in the control panel>wireless link> click on your phone and hit properties.
good luck!!!
Notes:
1. Data account settings (under ?connect menu? must match what is provided by the
local carrier)
2. Phone must be in discoverable mode to be paired with the PC for the first time.
After pairing for the first time, the blue LED on the phone must be flashing (to
indicate the Bluetooth function is turned on).
3. At least three signal bars are recommended for reliable operation
T68i Phone (instructions are similar for the T68 phone but not fully explained
here):
1. Turn on the T68i and make sure that it has cell phone network reception (i.e.
you could place a phone call). This is very important.
2. Push the cursor stick on the phone to the left to go into the Shortcut menu.
3. Select the Connect icon (middle icon on the bottom row).
4. Select the Bluetooth menu item (3rd in the list)
5. Select the Options menu item (4th in the list)
6. Select Operation Mode menu item (1st in the list)
7. Select On
8. Back up to to the Bluetooth menu > Linked Devices >Add Device>Phone Accepts ?or
else the pairing will appear successful on the PC but not on the phone menu
9. (If the phone has already been placed in Phone Accepts mode, but the pairing
needs to be reestablished:
o Back up to the Bluetooth menu
o Select Discoverable menu item (1st in the list)
o Make sure Bluetooth transceiver is connected and blue light is flashing. The
phone is now ready to be connected to over Bluetooth)
10. Switch to the PC: Open Control Panel
11. Open Wireless Link
12. Select the Bluetooth tab.
13. Switch to the phone: Make sure the phone is still in Bluetooth discoverable
mode. May need to repeat steps 8 and 9 if the 3 minutes have timed out.
14. Switch to the PC: Click the Add button
15. Click the Next button
16. Phone will appear (name may take a few seconds to resolve)
17. Select phone and press Next
18. Select Yes, requires authentication
19. Click the Next button
20. Change the passkey to 1111 and press Next
21. Switch to the phone: Select Add to linked devices when the phone asks to add
to paired devices.
22. Enter the passkey 1111 into the phone and click the physical Yes button.
23. Phone will say pairing successful if it worked.
24. Switch to the PC: When the services appear check the Dial-up-networking box
(not the FAX box if you are using the older T68 phone).
25. Click the Next button.
26. Click the Finish button.
27. If this all works the phone will show up as a new icon in the wireless
Bluetooth control panel and will appear to windows as a dial up modem attached to a
virtual com port in the Phone And Modems Options Control Panel. The Bluetooth
connection to the phone is set up and will function just like a modem. Now we need
to configure Windows to use it as a modem.
28. Use connection settings specified by the local cellular phone carrier for using
the phone as a modem for GPRS data service. If they will not give the settings
because we are using non-standard software for Bluetooth, ask them how to use it as
a modem over Infrared. These connection settings can then be copied over to the new
Bluetooth connection.
29. Open Control Panels
30. Open Internet Options
31. Click on the Connections tab
32. Click the Add button
33. Select Dial-up To Private Network and click Next.
34. Check the Modem - Standard Modem over Bluetooth link and uncheck all others
35. Click the Next button.
36. Type in the specific text from the local cellular phone carrier as phone
number (ex: AT&T is *99#***)
37. Click the Next button
38. Set the name to whatever you want an click Finish
39. Type in the user name and password Dial-up Connection Settings window that
appears.
40. Click OK.
41. Go to the Internet Properties Control Panel, on the Connections tab
42. Select Dial whenever a network connection is not present radio button (or the
Always dial my default connection if you prefer).
43. Click the Set Default button
44. Click OK to close the window.
45. After the new Bluetooth modem connection is created, set the Internet
connection properties to use the new Bluetooth dial up connection as the default
connection (always dial a connection).
46. When Internet Explorer is opened, a window should pop up asking to connect.
Click ?connect? and the connection should be established within a minute or so. The
browser should function normally ( although a bit slow). Sometimes refresh may be
needed to get the connection going.

Hi,
I wanted to use Native Bluetooth on Windows XP, but I can't find the Bluetooth extension. Does anyone know where I could download it ?
Is it working with all bluetooth USB adapters or does it require that the manufacturer supplies specific drivers ?
Thanks in advance
