Thanks boysaint!
I originally wanted to get the PT609-Ti...but I went to Trust Trade a week too late! They ran out of stock. The PT609-Ti looks a lot like the Millenium Series guns...but this one has a rail. Maybe the 24/7 is really the one for me...
Btw, is there something wrong with the "post counter" in this thread. A few days ago, I can't seem to get over post #1...now I'm back to zero. **gasp** |

yes i noticed that too. i believe something is wrong with the counter. ako nga eh, been with esato since the time na wala pa binubuksan na GunThread si Doc, but as you can see right now it shows i've had only a hundred post daw. i've already seen my posts go beyond 200, and then suddenly it dropped to zero!
anyway..... keep in touch here. just give us a thread-posting if anything new comes up. |

Doing fine, I was in Manila(where I now am most of the time) when the typhoon hit. My town in Batangas wasn't too affected, I guess the cove in Balayan Bay sort of protected it. Thanks for asking bro. Hope Milenyo didn't put a damper on you too.
Hello to all the new guys posting here.
@matanglawin
not to worry you or anything, but my first purchase at trust trade took a really long time, in fairness that was the time when there were perpetual shake-ups in the PNP. If it takes too long, threaten to pull out and get a refund of your deposit. My subsequent purchases went smoothly, but you have to show them that you don't tolerate being given the runaround.
Releasing a firearm from the FED warehouse doesn't really take a long time if the gun is already stored there. All firearms are stored in that single warehouse save for the display units in the individual stores. It only takes a long time if they have to order it from their overseas contacts. There was a time when we knew someone who had access to the warehouse and we could choose and release a gun within a day. They just had to call the gun store that owns the gun and tell them that it was being purchased and they processed the papers. Sadly that person was caught and isn't there now. Hope they release your gun soon.

Regarding post counts, AFAIK only those posted at the "Sony Ericsson" section are counted and credited to you permanently. There may be other sections credited but I'm not aware of it.
For the other sections like this "General Discussion" section, you will initially see your post counts increase after you post but those post counts are purged later on. Hope that helps

Aztec: Go get your guns ready for the afternoon.
I've had three 1911-design pistols, a Colt 1991 A1, a Bul M-5 and a 10mm Kimber. Since the design dates back to the year 1911, of course there will be shortcomings such as a more complicated design as compared to a Glock and hence, a slightly more complicated dismantling or field-stripping procedure. There are also more parts to wear out and hence more parts to replace. The 1991 A1 sights are also primitive and has to be replaced since I dont have a perfect eyesight. The 10mm Kimber in fact wore out its extractor and grip safety in about 600 rounds only.
boysaint: I dont think our local SE dealers would service a K618 since this is not marketed here, they know that a K618 would most likely be smuggled in to the country. |

G34,
actually earlier than 1911. maybe even 1905, i think. |

.....and 1911 was the time it was officially adopted as approved official weapon for the US government, if i am not mistaken. and so there was also a controversy on the authenticity of research for the 1911 weapon used in the movie TITANIC. that engraved 1911 there... is that realistic? will some private person be actually already possesing a 1911 then? let alone an intricately engraved unit? |

First impressions after handling my PT24/7...my 1st ever gun:
- Very easy to hold, considering I have small hands
- Easy to field strip...you just have to take out the pin, the slide, the spring and the barrel
- Easy to reassemble...no "third hand" needed
All along, I thought that all PT24/7s have the "straight-8" rear sight (that is also what is indicated in the taurus website + other gun reviews I have read)...but mine has the "fixed-2 dot" type. As far as sights set-up is concerned, are the 24/7s being sold here in the Philippines different from those in the United States or anywhere else in the world?
