Hi,first thanks for the em/sem explanation.Well i have to say that this driver is cool, but i've noticed a minor bug:
After havin done a photo with zoom function on,even after i have returned to zoom 0(no zoom) and then i go to use manual focus for another photo, after i have selectetd the right value for focus, and i half shut the button for preview off,it just turns back a lil bit but remains almost fully zoomed! Try!
Another thing is that i'm not finding the right zoom patch for the last driver version(i have zoombar_v3 for k810 r8 but it's values doesnt corrispond to the last driver),can anybody link it?

raiderski i have problem(maybe problem) when i set +1.0 and put SS on 3/4s and take picture, then i open picture in exif java app(reading exif) and there's write 1/3s
Then i send picture to comp, and open in my ubuntu image viewer and in exif write 1s

edit: mistake in java app write 1 and 1/3s and that's ok, because that's 4/3 and you say that is exif bug...

And your post with this pics:

auto

short enhanced mode
http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/6813/dsc03576du0.jpg
(EXIF says exposure time 4/3? another bug by SE, real value is 3/4)

When i open your pic with 3/4s again i can see 1s maybe problem is in my image viewer on ubuntu...

Btw, I made a small update of my EXIFReader (version 1.1 beta). You can find it here:

http://nwamdclub.nktb-kristall.ru/ExifReader_1_1_b.zip

Changes:
1. A short summary on the top of the EXIF details page (ISO, Exposure time, resolution, file size and date)
2. EXIFReader remembers last opened folder, so you don't need to browse every time to the folder with photos.

photo with selected 3/4s EXIF:

1. JPEGSnoop = 4/3s
2. by SPU = 1 1/3s

real exposure time used by camera is 3/4s of course. this firmware EXIF issue is funny thing... do you know that it exist also in old 2MP phones? pity

Yes in java app is 1 and 1/3s and that is good
But in ubuntu image viewer shows 1s, will try some other app for image in ubuntu.

I already adviced you about that in page 34! Maybe you didn't see it. There's also a little issue with flash, tell me if I'm right.

Cheers!

ha! yep, thanks for keeping an eye on this. I'm really blind about this flash, seems to be fine for me. set36 = shortest time, set37 = longest time, both need values of time like in shutter speed (set29, low = fast) not as slow shutter (cmd03, low = slow). I'm using set36 = 1/250, set37 = 1/40 - final result can have any other time between those two (like 1/60 or 1/80). if camera is able to automatically select better time for scene then why not to use this feature? why SE dudes limited it to 1/250 only? they don't trust own hardware? my choice was free flash time without tight limit

only two sets are independent: cyan-red and yellow-blue. other colors are only combinations that's why they cannot be used together

6.3 [2008-06-25]
- fixed zoom function which distorted manual focus preview
- simple customization feature is fully implemented (also in documentation)
- implemented function for Custom White Balance technique
- removed delays between steps, changes of value are noticeable faster
- manual sharpness function is fully implemented
- now it's possible to select type of zoom for driver
* continuous (fast, accuracy depends on light amount)
* linear (fast for photo, slow for video, always accurate)

first of all sharpness function is not connected to any EV position. if you want to connect:

1. open camdriver0.dat in text editor (use pure txt editor like Notepad, do not use Word, OpenOffice etc.)
2. find 'FUNC_ID=' (it's almost at top of code)
3. look at columns 'function ID' and 'EV position'
4. look below at list of all functions (ID and description)
5. find 'Sharpness' and...

from now you should know what to do
