When you compare the P1 to the G700, where are the differences? Why also is it going to be much cheaper at launch? Personally, knowing that the G900 exists will make me go for that instead of the G700. What confuses me is the pricing. I got a K770 today for peanuts and its quality, I understand there is depreciation but surely the P1 has something that the G phones do not. I can only think of the qwerty at the moment. |

Excuse me everyone, I have used G900 and it's one of the loudest SE phones in the past 1yr...
And it's such a slim/compact touchscreen smartphone with 5MP, with a price of 350 US dollars and people are comparing it to Nokia's high end camera smartphone???? Come on guys....
And even so I don't see G900 so much behind in picture quality compared with N82 at this stage... |

G700 doesn't have wifi and autofocus other than full QWERTY keyborad and also G700 has a slightly smaller display but better in sunlight and much better battery backup... |

So, the G900 is better which makes it look as if the P1 lame. If the G phones are as smart as the P1, what will a proper smart phone be then since the G phones are for the mass market? What else is left to put into a smart phone, will live to see how P series can better this. |

There are lots and lots of thing that can be added... Hope P-NXT will fulfill those...
P1's advantage is it's QWERTY keyboard and by the time G900 will come out, I don't think there will be any difference in price between P1 and G900 or only minimum difference...

P1i screen size, build materials (metal) and keyboard put it apart from the g900 |

Oops.... I think I and google did a mistake... When I translated from google "Стоимость телефона составит около 300 Евро," it translated it to "The cost of the phone will be about 300 dollars,"...
But in the Eenglish version of the review it says "The Sony Ericsson G700 is set to hit the shelves this June, retailing for around 300 Euro,"....
So I think it's 300 Euros and not 300 Dollars... Sorry for the mistake... Now I think it's price is reasonable whereas earlier I thought it's price was just too damn great...

I my mind G is grate phones, looks like SE finally heard me.
K850i is little to simple and P1i is to fat … but G900 is perfect good size and nice spec. I will definitely go for it.
Because next “P5” branded not for me again, it will be with flip and same size like P1i, yes it will be with mach better processor … and I heard will have special screen not a standard 240x320… and maybe UIQ 3.3.
thanks SE |

What model of battery does this G900 take? BST-33 ?
Any indication of good vs bad battery life?

Yeah, BST-33.... I would hope that the BST-40 would fit so I could use my P1 one! |

for those who have tested the phone...
how's the touchscreen during calls? as in, does it get easily activated with contact on the cheek? or has SE put in a keylock? hopefully the UI for this phone won't lag like the k850...it's no fun to always be 5 button presses ahead of the phone

Well considering its a completely different platform to the K850i, and one thats spent a lot of time being fixed up by SE, I don't think you'll have that problem.

P5 seems to be a slide formfactor with 5 way Dpad, with P1 style qwerty kyb under the slide
