right, the k850i wap settings menu works for the w890i, .... but the mms settings are different (menu structure is not the same). So halfway there I guess. Need to figure out how to get rid of the O2 internet icons so that I can click straight thru to vodafone live.
got to say the guy at VF customer services is being very helpful & thank God he's working today too!
next thing will be to find some nice new themes to download, but liking the Clarity theme at the moment (home screen is white with a green wave motif). |

Yeah, it's so dull. Maybe they're putting it in every phone cuz. they want to make it sorta like that SE ringtone (like the trademark theme). I mean, it only seems logical, especially with those white/green colours .

Yeah I think that's what Clarity is supposed to be. I don't think it's too bad, but they could have made it animated or something, cause the theme is representing SE! Shouldn't they make an attempt to look good? That green wave on the standby screen is just asking to be animated!

afaik, you can't install flash desktop files yet on your a200 phone because flashing tools like xs++ don't support a200 yet !! |

ah im gutted.
I rang up orange to finally upgrade my old w850. I wanted the w890 silver, but they said if I wanted to upgrade to it, I'd have to pay £50, which I didn't want to do as this price is only on the handset cos its brand new (and its only for existing customers which i think is 1 cheeky, and 2 not very understandable from a loyalty point for orange customers- new customers can get the handset for free on the same tariffs!)
Anyway, I chose K850 as I wanted something with new media centre (use my phone heavily as mp3 player) interface (which is really good) and K850 has this plus 5mp cam- I had already tried W910 and didn't like the build and the buttons. But K850 camera is the biggest joke I have ever seen (pure black pictures), and even though I've already updated the firmware, it is doing all sorts of wierd and stupid things like saying I'm calling or texting other people in my phone book when I try and select a contact.
Rant aside, I think I'm going to send K850 back unless I can sort out the numerous problems with it in the next couple of days.(unlikely) Then gonna wait till Orange give me w890 for free. One question about the handset though- what are the buttons like for texting and navigation? And another, is the A200 system quite fast on this model (find it to be quite slow on the K850)?
