Brix, got here and was whisked away from the airport to Saldanha for a writer's conference to which i was invited. Got back and promptly had every Capetonian relative i know, as well as a few i don't, having me drive hither and thither paying visits.
The statements coming from JZ seem to grow more incredible with each passing day. Now he claims that clean running water, in the form of a shower, reduces the risk of HIV infection. It justs keep getting better and better

Even if he gets acquited there's no way he can still become president of emzansi after that pathetic display in the witness box. I mean, did you read the Cape Times this morning?
"She must have wanted sex because she wore a skirt"...WTF is up with that?

Fair comment, and how much cheaper will the W800 be by the time the W700 is actually widely available?
It's obviously hard to predict what the price difference will be at this stage and I'm no economist, but if it is introduced with a price very close to the W800, wouldn't it be kinda defeating the object of the W700?
If the market insists on not much of a price difference (initially anyway), can you imagine how hard handset depreciation/value will hit the W700 in the months after its release?
Let's wait and see...
@ da brixsta,
I'm truly amazed with that JZ statement. In fact, it's nothing short of incredible. Wonder what the JZ Fan Club have to say after that...
That's even funnier than a certain philanthropically-challenged Mugabe visiting SA in 2004, invited to celebrate the 10 years of democracy in SA...
Oh right, those 2 old grannies with their walking frames that I saw this morning... I bet the one wearing a skirt really had one thing on her mind... |

@all: Stay away from the W700. I think are starting to lose the plot. Maybe they should not have called it a W700 but perhaps a special edition like they did in years past with the T100---->T105.....We should just have a had a W805. I'm still looking forward to the K400, S500, W400 and a P700
@da wanqsta: That headline must've had heart rates soaring in several old age homes around the country.
On a serious note though, South Africa's political leadership are pathetic if JZ performance in the witness box is anything to go by...I mean, does he even realise that people are watching his every move.
It has been said before: If the deputy president of a country can knowingly have sex with an HIV+ woman how are we, as a country going to fight HIV/Aids and tell people to condomise.

@ da brixsta,
Another good night for The Gunners after their draw against Juventus tonight; a Champions' League semi-final spot has become reality. |

Quite happy this morning...would've loved at least a goal from the Gunners.
EDIT: Finally got Google Local Maps to work on my P910i...currently it doesn't support South Africa but then again this application is in beta testing phase...we'll probably have to wait a while before we can start calling up directions and getting a bird's perspective of our cities.

@786KBR: Yes bro, it's available for your precious K750. It's almost like a mini version of Google Earth as it supports satellite imaging. One downside though is that I've experienced it to be damn slow.

Home in one piece, severe turbulence necessitating the pilot having to come in from a higher altitude than usual, causing some alarm in the fainter-hearted passengers and great glee in those enjoying thrills
Picked up a nice 6230 for the better half for a song, thereby quelling any potential complaints about my acquisition of the 6630 and a Razr. The Razr was duly handed over upon arrival to a nephew to whom i'd promised an upgrade on his 8210.

@ El Krypto,
Glad you made it back onto Terra Firma in one piece.
I see the Dark Side of the Cellphone Force is strong in you; the 6600 surpassed by the 6630, the 6230 for the missus...
LOL, enjoy the 3G handset; Mario will be proud of your allegiance to the S60 Empire.
EDIT: Went to watch Firewall at the local cinema last night.
Also want to go and see that award-winning SA movie over the weekend...
It's really kinda weird for me seeing the word 'Tsotsi' displayed all over and around UK cinemas, and seeing the ad on UK terrestrial TV quite frequently.

Last night noted my cell displaying "3G & HSDPA Enabled". This can only be a good thing.
@da krypsta: Good luck with the 6630.

I'm using the 6630 as backup while the 6600 soldiers on. I've set it up to mimic the 6600 exactly in terms of applications, menu shortcuts, etc.
Has anybody heard of an application/site called Mig33? I've had a number of text messages inviting me to download it and join the site...
