I don't know if the new phone will be announced at IFA or not.
My guess is: new phone(s) will be announced at IFA with the new name or it is a new series. I think that's why the model number is changed to H9xxx not H8xxx like XZ2 or XZ2P. |

I don't know if the new phone will be announced at IFA or not.
My guess is: new phone(s) will be announced at IFA with the new name or it is a new series. I think that's why the model number is changed to H9xxx not H8xxx like XZ2 or XZ2P.
But H8416 does exist for sure. So maybe it's xz2s? |

another new xperia model, SOV48, with same front and back camera as XZ2P.....however running android 8 as we speak due to carrier bloatwares...
listed as one of the xperia models when searching on internal Google Play list, however I believe this is an typo for SOV38....
also akatsuki/H84xx/H94xx sharing the same spec, even the camera, but minor things like display, etc... will be different...

I think Vaio was a very different story.
Years ago we needed a computer to access the internet, to read/send emails, do school/university tasks.
Computers are losing ground to smartphones.
Sony failed with DSLR but things are getting better with mirrorless.
I doubt they will do this, but killing RX100 series to give the sensors to Xperia could change things.

Killing RX100 for Xperia is way too risky. Why kill a very successful product for helping a almost dead Xperia? At this stage, they had already make a all-round smartphone. However, XZ2 is way too late to responsing the market.
I only heard they will kill Xperia and migrate to other business if Xperia still suck in 2019/2020. |
