@Boba are they boxed? Btw can that audio leak on my T28 been caused by pressure of the cover onto the mainboard? I'm asking that because keypad part is looking 'sinked' and it's glued on both sides. Maybe the pressure of the keypad part of the cover result in those leaks? PS sorry for my bad english;-).

Slight change of subject here:

Ever tried looking at archived copies of www.ericsson.com?

http://web.archive.org/web/*/http://www.ericsson.com

Some of the earlier pages are missing graphics but the 1999-2001 pages are fairly complete. Example:

Hmm never tried to look at ericsson pages in web archive, it would be nice to look at www.ericsson.com//t39 and to go back to the good old times.
Why is there no photos of ilp here? Post some pics of that accessory when connected to the phone, plz.

T68 keyboard problem.

Hello everyone,

my dad is using my old T68 which was bought back in late 2002. The phone is doing really well, but the keyboard is starting to have errors. Some of the keys are almost impossible to use and one could use hammer in order to make them work. The problematic keys are NO, *, and several number keys.

What is the problem and could this be repaired? It's really a great phone, and I want it to stay "alive".

Special, note to members from Serbia-Montenegro: Please tell me if you know a good service centre and the average price of possible repair.

Hi mikicam. It might be that the plastic bit that makes up the keys is broken, that makes certain keys rather difficult to use. The phone itself isn't too hard to repair - basically to get to the keys you'll need a T6 screwdriver and some long(ish) fingernails! If you PM me I'll try to put together a quick word-doc with instructions either Thursday or more likely Friday.

@ mikicam;

The main proble with your dad's T68 is the keypad dome most probably as to what happycheesecake was refering to. If you could just peel it off slowly & try to clean the golden contacts for the keys on the mainboard with a clean hi-grade rubber eraser & gently wipe the metal contacts on the keypad dome (the sticker like covering on top of the keypad backlights which is colored white) with an alcohol based solution but just make sure its the contacts only that you wipe throughly so that the adhesive covering does not go off. After that just attach it back again making sure that the contact on either side meet up just right &....voila YOU'RE DONE.

Hi All!!!

I had just spoke with a certain hi ranking personel from /// Australia & did have a chat with him, his name is Steve Searle. I did get to tell him that I am an avid /// patron & that such classics as the R520m etc. are still being longed for as of today.

I also told him that a few /// patron were actually dismayed with the merge they had with sony, however he did inform me that it was actually a good move for /// since sony integrated its digital expertise with /// & that they are actually coming up with a 3 megapixel & iPod like handset which could cover upto 10,000 songs. Whew...pretty exciting isnt it.

Just thought that I'd share this wonderful conversation with you folks
