What I like about the SABC coverage is that's so damn good, ok maybe the commentary team needs to be jacked up-Craig Marais is a doos.

Ja nee, such is life, gentlemen... I've been searching for an affordable digital camera for some time, one capable of taking good quality pix without too many frills, i.e. an everyday workhorse. After speaking to a buddy in Singapore his advice was to go for a Canon, and a specific model too, for various reasons. He'd worked in a shop specialising in digital equipment, and since i've come to respect his opinion, i started searching. Prices varied greatly, the cheapest being from Kalahari.net... Until i happened to visit one of the most expensive local malls last night for a meal at the best rib joint on the planet. To my immense surprise, i came across a camera outlet offering the very same model, i.e. A410 for R1199, the very same price as Kalahari.net PLUS the camera shop throws in spare rechargeable batteries as well

It happens.... Sometimes the pigeons do miss the statues, hmmm.

@da krypsta: I had a Canon Ixus 400 a couple of years ago and can testify to the fact that it's one of the best camera's of it's range. Canon is definitely the shizznit when it comes to digital camera's...unfortunately mine got stolen.

Off topic: Just reading a topic heading on Esato about this guy who dropped his phone down a toilet...How do you do that? I mean how stupid can you be unless of course you're drunk.

BTW, Cape Town's finally got a new mayor....Helen Zille.

Cool, they were really taking their time to name the new Mayor. Let's hope her term brings many positive developments to the Mother City.

We've gained a lady mayor as well in the personage of Nondumiso Maphazi, who seems set to be a new broom sweeping clean.

Then again, all politrixians make such sweeping statements when first elected to office....

Regarding that busted mmc, i haven't had any time to drop it off yet, hopefully i'll get it sorted over the long weekend.

@ bra-brix,
Tsotsi is now advertising its UK release on BBC TV! Just seen the ad in the half-time commercial break, during the West Ham/Bolton FA Cup clash.
It will be in UK cinemas from 17 March.

@da wanqsta: Despite the Oscar win I still have reservations about Tsotsi.

@da krypsta: Saw (intentional pun) it on the weekend and I can definitely recommend it if you're in to grizzly horror movies and someone who gets off on watching others suffer...Basically put, sadomasochists would enjoy this movie because it's got blood, needles, saws and a whole lot of other things that would send the faint-hearted right into the arms of their mommy's and daddy's.

Are you ready to play the game of survival?

I saw a number of our keepers of the peace, althoug none of them resembled our friend, not unless he'd acquired a really really serious tan, which, given the weather in J-Bay, isn't beyond the realm of possibility.

As for speeding, aikona bhuti, the speedo may read a max of 370km/h but i don't speed, i hate paying fines hehehe. Had to contest a fine on behalf of my brother the other day, seeing that he's in eKapa and the fine was local. Imagine my mixed feelings upon discovering that the fine would be greatly reduced, and that the prosecutor who did the actual reduction is my newly-acquired next-door neighbour. I knew he prosecuted, just wasn't certain where... Ja nee, now i know... Anywayz...

Greetings from my bathroom it's 33 degrees atm, 79% humidity.
