Here's a busy NYC street taken with a K750i, now you see it looks great:
(I wish it weren't auto resized by Esato. It looks really good @ true 640x480).

How about this for proper macro photography ? Heres some pictures of Mealworms, eating some bran.
If you're eating right now, dont click these pictures.
Macro, no photo light:
and a couple with photo light:
I've also a video of them wriggling around. I'll post that tomorrow.

This photo was taken in a pitch black store room, the LED's are very powerful! Blue eyes - Not fair
The man himself! I look a bit too yellow as the celing lamp was a warm glow one. I could have adjusted the white balance but the K750i has done a good job.

Ok, here are some of my pics. I dont know whats wron with the quality but these are not good atall. They are not focused and all trees are blur. Whats wrong with them..
Pics in inside are muc better than pics in outside.
This picture is from inside of house and its quite nice. Focus abd clear.
But WTF is wrong in those outside pictures? Why they look like that?
They are not focused atall. And those pics from outside are taken without AF and using daylight setting. |

If you just take a snap without waiting for the AF to lock (half press the shoot button and wait until you gett an indication AF is locked, then press all the way), they may look like that. |

@ peltsi, they do look a little blurred. I reckon you're either doing what Arne Anka says, or simply not holding the camera steadily enough. I should know, i do it myself sometimes and pictures come out the same.
Heres that video i promised..

Excuse the loud rushing noise in the background, i had a tap running.

Ok, why u still can take pictures without waiting for AF if they look worse. I thought my self that AF mean that u can take a picture from an object like a flower. Flower is sharp and clear but everything else is blurred. Like some bush behind it.
do u know what i mean?
What i mean is: Why u can and would take a picture without using AF if result of pic is worse than using AF?
Why there is that AF?
Sorry about my bad englis but i hope that somebody can read this.. |

Its hard to explain, but there are situations (although very rare) where you need to take a picture instantly without any delay. After all, the AF takes perhats 2 or 3 sec to find the focus.

Without AF you would only be able to take sharp pictures on one specific distance. With AF, the distance to the object can vary and you will still be able to take a sharp picture.
