Well we've just had the storm and it wasn't that bad - I think you guys are a bit soft! We can take it in Manchester! Still raining but the thunder has gone - or has it?

trust me you cant have had THE storm!
if it was the same weather front it must have lost a bit of steam as its moved inland because it was BIG! and it lasted for ages, im talking continous lightning every 5 seconds for about 5 hours! i'm not even joking it was that bad, i'm surprised it wasnt in the news to be honest...
anyone remember last summer when a freak storm hit the coast near hull? it was on BBC news and even CNN, there was about 3 feet of snow in the middle of july! well i live exactly where that storm hit and it was well sick...
i think this part of the country has its own extreme local weather system.

LOL no need to defend the fact that your all a bit soft up there. No need to be ashamed you can't handle storms like us Mancs! only kidding it must have not been the same storm as it only lasted a couple of hours at the most! I hope THE storm doesn't come as my kitchen roof has started leaking a bit in heavy rain and it has to be dry to get it fixed!!

I like a good storm. All the lighting and thunder.
Just really cloudy here and hot.

this is what i mean by freak storm! this was AUGUST 2000.
see that second picture? the one with the kids playing in the snow, that exact spot is less than a mile from where i live, it was so localised that the snow only came down on the street in the picture the main road through hedon (which runs parallel to that street, about 100 ft away).
now tell me you've ever seen madness like that anywhere else in the country!!
