an article in mobile burn (link below) shows an experimental v800 that has a battery cover with an se raised emblem on it instead of the vodafone talk/quote mark.
can anybody identify a market where that model is actually sold? and, can spare parts be obtained from that market?

@niji,
On last few forum there is one totally SE phone without having any vodafone logo in it.. Try to search back last page or 2.. It just have Vodafone firmware, but the outlook totally SE unbranded V800.
@O2
Since you are waiting, well, i could say wait after christmas then( or in Jan 2005 ) you should can get the unbranded V800. But really unconfirmed yet and hope any SE spy told us about this. |

Hi! As I said befor, the V800 here in Austria and in Switzerland comes without any Vodafone shell-branding. We have the SE symbol outside, but the same shit of Vodafone software inside. I'll wait to get a unlocked and vodafonde-free V800, if it will be released someday.
Greetings, Alex

Vodafone has a 6 months exclusive in Western Europe.
By the time that it's over, I suspect new phonew may well be aruond the corner anyway.

O2,
Yup!, Shortcuts key are available to modified to ur needs. No problem for changing that..
I think u better have a chat with the ppl in Austria. Ask them how much is selling it. Get the SE V800 unbranded ( just have vodafone software ). It should be sim free then. If is locked, i think u know how to unlock it. ( Brunei and malaysia have lots of technician and they just need 2 pay few $$ to unlock it.. ) hehehe.. |

a fren of mine is goin to london this dec... so i'll ask them to get one for me offline and unlock.... much easier rather than havin som1 to post and all that stuff....
k anyways... som1 said V800 will be on 3 january 05, and SE V800 firmware will be available within 2 weeks.... so frm this informations my conclusion is.. the unbranded V800 will be avalaible officially within mid dec.... if the information is true.. that is...

Vodafone themselves claim a 6 months exclusive. So it is not going to be available unbranded in 2 weeks time.

Yes. I've heard 6 months (from Vodafones release date) from people working at SE here in Sweden too. |
