Is anyone having problems with the Activity Menu Key that brings up the shortcut menu.

Mines being a right pain at the minute I press the button and nothing happens. Updated the FW but still not fixed the problem

Could someone tell me what the maximum digital zoom is? It's for a contest(grand prize is a brand new bond edition c902). In the official specifications it says 16x, but in the contest I only have 3 options - 2x, 2,5x or 3x. Thanks.

A photo taken on 16x digital zoom on my C902:

That competition is flawed.

EDIT: Oh, but by judging from previous SE phones, the answer will be 2.5x.

Sony Ericsson launches global digital campaign for James Bond's latest phone

22 October 2008

Sony Ericsson is launching a limited edition Titanium silver C902 Cyber-shot TM phone as used by James Bond in the eagerly awaited QUANTUM OF SOLACE which will be released worldwide November 2008. The new mobile phone will make sure you are ready for any challenge, immersing you into the world of a secret agent with interactive 007 content and a spy-style game.

London, UK, 4th August - Sony Ericsson is excited to unveil an exclusive partnership between the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures/Columbia Pictures release of EON Productions’ 22nd James Bond adventure, QUANTUM OF SOLACE, and the C902 Titanium silver edition. The phone, as used by James Bond - played by actor Daniel Craig in the new film - will be available for a limited period and include a memory card loaded with a host of 007 content.

Users will get the chance to know exactly what it takes to be a secret agent like James Bond with the first level* of an exclusive pre-loaded spy-style game. In addition, the full colour trailer of the film, behind-the-scenes interviews with the stars and exclusive content such as wallpapers and screen savers will be available on the phone and the memory card**.

The C902 Cyber-shot TM phone is used throughout the film by James Bond to capture evidence and assist the agent on his mission. The 5MP camera, with a unique slide-out lens cover, illuminated touch icons providing quick and easy access to camera options,Face detection, Photo flash and Auto focus enables James Bond to send high resolution shots back to MI6 for quick recognition of his enemies. The phone also offers BestPic™ which allows users to take nine pictures of a moving object simultaneously and choose the best shot to use, plus Picture blogging for uploading photos to blogsites and PictBridge for printing direct to a printer, without the need for a PC or laptop.

In August 2006, Sony Ericsson also teamed up with James Bond to launch the limited edition James Bond Casino Royale silver K800i Cyber-shot TM camera phone and in November 2002 the Sony Ericsson P800 and T68i mobile phones were used by several of the cast in the 20th James Bond film, Die Another Day.

Lennard Hoornik, Corporate Vice President and Global Head of Marketing, Sony Ericsson comments, “We are excited to announce the continuation of our relationship with the James Bond films and unveil James Bond’s new phone for this year - the limited edition version of our C902 Cyber-shot TM phone. With the rich array of content both on the phone and preloaded on a memory card bundled with the C902 Titanium silver limited edition, fans of the secret agent will only get more James Bond with Sony Ericsson.”

Daniel Craig reprises his role as Ian Fleming’s James Bond 007 in QUANTUM OF SOLACE, the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures/Columbia Pictures release of EON Productions' 22nd adventure in the longest-running film franchise in motion picture history. The film is directed by Marc Forster. The screenplay is by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade and Paul Haggis. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli produce.

So I've been using the c902 for a week now, bought it used from a guy for a song, I updated the firmware, loaded all my favorite apps and have been trying it out. First thing I noticed was how heavy the phone was compared to my k790i or k550i, not necessarily a bad thing, at least I feel the phone in my jacket when I walk. I don't like the redesign of the buttons since I was so used to the previous incarnation, but I'm sure that would grow on me. The build quality is rock solid. The front of the phone is just a smudge magnet unfortunately, but when wiped down it looks great. The UI is nice, everything works, being able to shortcut to apps is a great improvement and EDGE seems faster (no 3G in Chitown for this phone). I am disappointed in the screen though, it looks to be the same as that on the k770i, smaller then the k790i and even though it is smaller the phone is wider since they made those camera touch buttons, it also shows banding in gradients just as the k770i does but which the k790i handled with aplomb.

The buttons on the screen work fine and they're kind of neat at the beginning, but the camera itself is underwhelming, without question my k790i took better pictures and they were easier to take, I got 1 good shot in 5 with the c902, unless you get LOTS of light. Then again it takes better photos then the k550i, but I see no improvement over the k770i. The focus always seems to be a bit off as well, and forget pictures in poor lighting. If I replaced my k790i picture taking with this phone I'd be PISSED. Luckily this one is headed for Ebay or as a backup and I'll be getting the C905 this week, which I hope will be awesome. Sans the camera this is a pretty nifty phone overall.

No, I just think they sacrificed quality for thinness, I don't think my camera is any different then anyone elses in terms of quality, I've looked at all the pics in the pic thread, you can good pics with really good lighting.

I disagree, unless you are into photography, in which case you should really get yourself a proper camera, this phone takes well above average pictures even in bad lighting conditions. The only thing i find wrong with the phone is the screen size, everything else works as it is suppose to and does it's job well.

Maybe iv'e just been lucky but i have not had any crashes, no lines on pic's or anything like that.
