Much to my suprise, the poll is 22:3 at the moment, in favour of a dedicated bjacking site.
Ok, who are the silent supporters?

@santini:
allready voted and registered... i guess i'm number two, right
looks beautiful congratulations! would be better if u could translate all of the site, though... my 2 years as "deutche studenten" didn't pay off very well...
i mean - i passed all right... but it's been 2 much time since i took the last test... viele zeit - vieleicht (?) 10 jahre... |

@cyanx7
Thanks
However, that msg board is a ready-to-install version. I'll check whether there's a complete translation available somewhere.
If there's gonna be a bjacking website (FAQ, Tutorial, pics, etc.), it's either 100% English or bi-langual German/English.

Oh dear... that really was quite spectacularly lame.
Anyway, on the bluejacking front, the other day before going out, I recorded a new answering machine message on my spare SIM card.
Then, I renamed my T68i to "UK Telecoms Authority" and created a new SMS which read:
"Your handset has been logged in our national database as being involved in fraudulent activity. Please call below number for further information. If no contact is made within 24 hours, your handset will be blacklisted immediately."
I ended the message with a contact number for my spare SIM card, which was obviously set to answerphone. Now, the answerphone message which I recorded said in an official voice: "Welcome to the UK Telecoms Authority fraud division. The phone in your posession has been linked to fraudulent activity and details have been passed on to the Police, who will trace your location and take relevant action. If you feel this information is incorrect, please dial Crimestoppers on BLAH BLAH quoting reference number 1337_455"
Yeah, I know it's long-winded, but f**k me did it work a treat.
I was sat in a small cafe with a few mates, and explained the trick to them. It didn't take long for me to find a few targets.
The first couple of messages were sent, but I didn't see anyone receive them. Then after another one or two tries, my mate pointed me in the direction of a bloke in a suit holding a 6310 looking very distressed, then proceeding to make a phone call. We could all hear what he was saying as it was a small cafe, and he went mad at the Crimestoppers operator after dictating the "reference number" I gave him and obviously being told that nobody knew what the f**k he was talking about.
He then stormed out of the cafe with an evil look on his face, and we were all in stitches on the floor.
It was pure hilarity... the dude was totally mindfucked by the whole thing.
Excellent fun.

Shithappens, sorry if that's how it came across, but I didn't actually flame any of your "buddies" or further any of my previous posts. I was just making a factual statement about someone's really pathetic excuse for a joke... which even you have to admit was very lame. If I make shit jokes, I expect to be told about it too.
Anyway, I'm glad you liked my little bluejacking scenario, I'll continue to do it to as many people as possible.
What I was thinking of doing is replacing the number for Crimestoppers with the number of a mate's phone (who's with me at the time obviously), so that I can continue the wind-up in person. Also, this way if the person being terrorised decides to retaliate, he'll have my mate's number to call, not mine
Oh, and next time I find a discoverable phone, I'll be sure to send a "N0KIA RULEZZZ, ERIKSON SUXXZ DICKS!!!!!1111" message. |
