@Boba,
and then some seeing as i have only been using Nokia's apart from the odd phone in the past since June i am well and truly converted. IMO the N93 is the best smart phone i have ever used bar none and the M600 i had can't even get near. I love it's build quality and the way it handles everything i have asked of it, it may not have a touchscreen but being able to see the screen clearly in virtually all conditions more than makes up for it IMO.
Now i will try and put together a users review shortly does anyone think i should just post it in here or does it deserve it's very own thread?

Hi all,
Just a quick update prior to my review, having collected my N93 with the new Firmware all i can say is start up up time has really been cut. Seeing as this is a smart phone i can't believe just how quick it is 28secs including entering my pin to to fully on. Also opening apps is now virtually instantaneous even with Tom Tom the globe spins for such a short time if you blink you'll miss it. The Camera problem when turning the screen to Landscape mode is now fixed no more front Camera activation and when going to Landscape from flip open mode there is no delay at all.

@Dogmann, I'm not sure what you mean by 28sec's to full power on for boot up of your N93? Can you clarify that when you power it on from say after 5mins of being fully powered off, then powering it on from when you press the power button that it turns on and gets signal strength & network connectivity (GSM/3G - 3G I'm expecting takes roughly 30secs AFTER GSM is acquired)?! Thanks.
> So nobody here in this thread in the North America continent considering the Nokia N75 or in Europe for the 6290 flip phones (S60)?
Just in case you're all not aware of those models....

Oddly enough, Nokia calls the N75 a multimedia computer, yet it doesnt have a FLash for its 2MP Camera. ??

uh, Boba if by FW you mean FirmWare.
The 6290 is an S603rd Edition FP1 device while the 6280 is not.
Here take a look.

@Prom1
OK i just disabled Sim Pin code request on turning on a re-timed it, from being totally off press power button to past shaking hands and actually able to go to apps or make a call is now 22 seconds. As i said before opening any app is instantaneous no delay or lag at all this phone is really fast now.

BobaFett - the 6290 is an S60 (with FP1) device - only just because the menu looks similar, it's a far cry from the 6280's S40 (without FP), not the same in ANY way. |

From the link I posted....
http://www.allaboutsymbian.co[....]es/item/Nokia_6290_Preview.php
of the preview for the 6290; ALL new S60 devices (Eseries, N series, etc) have a GUI layout that resembles the S40 phones. I cant stand it either thats why with considering this phone, or the N75 as competitors to the upcoming HTC Cavelier.

Actually, S40 v3 was designed to resemble S60, not the other way round
The thing I dislike most about S40 is the ugly looking "active standby" & of course its limitations... |
