Boba, if youre on Wap.....
Danish up-market electronics firm Bang & Olufsen and Samsung Electronics will launch a jointly made mobile phone this year, with typical B&O design and high-quality sound, the firms said on Wednesday.
The phones will have basic communications features and little in the way of high-tech extras, Bang & Olufsen's chief executive told Reuters, adding they would target the high end of the market in terms of price and quality.
Bang & Olufsen are known for their expensive, sleekly designed art-house type televisions and home stereos.
"We are starting out with one model but may come out with more later," Torben Ballegaard Sorensen said, adding the phone would be aimed at people over the age of 25.
"This will be super simple. We believe that many people feel overwhelmed by the options phones contain. We will attempt to produce something that ... will suit our core clients. They don't use phones as a game station. We are emphasising what the phone is meant for, which is talking."

Hmm, that's not good. B&O should do such a phones with Ericsson part of SEMC;-). I can't get what do people find in samsung's cheap looking out handsets??? Or maybe that hologram logo is looking nice? GS18 design was copied by Motorola later in their low-level mobiles, i do like PH388 much better imo.

Leider, i didn't found it when visiting market next time. Btw it was flooded with malaysian T39(blue ones, only headset and china charger, al repaired of course: 2//3 of them with glued//soldened flip). Just a stupid question: what to do if recorder button and slider on R380 don't work? And another one: what does slider on the right side of R250?

The slider on the right on the r250 changes the mode of the phone from normal phone to push to talk mode.

@ boba:
Hi!
Well the ericsson's in manila are but a handful & mostly people who had ever gone to use & experience it were mainly affiliated with the A series-A1018s, A2618s, A2628s, A3618s & a few of the early T series of phones.
I normally set my language to automatic (english) but usually I prefer units with euro FW, to my experience they are more stable than AP ones & faster too. Not to mention, euro FW have increased functionality as set in the A1018s euro FW which had TETRIS in it.
Not so much since this is mainly a Nokia patronized country.

Yep that's right!
I tried flashing my A1018s I think that was somewhere around 2002 to a euro FW at an /// service point, as I looked on the EMMAii server & checked on the FW version for the A1018s, I spotted one with the EU word attached to it. So I flashed my phone with it then...VOILA!!!
The only A1018s in the Philippines with TETRIS |
