Well. It is all about the Camera Software men. That is why sony got the best cmos but the quality still mid-range like.

That 48mp dont even got DRAM... How it can be fit into XZ3. IMX589 is just a globe version of IMX600. Unless xperia give up the super slow-mo or go for the fake way. So, I don't see why it even become rumor.
Every newly released IMX CMOS will become the new rumors for next phone. I personally never see SONY SEMI release a press about a new cmos xperia ahead of the actual device release. When they release the IMX400, they only talk about the results. Never mention about the model number, price. Just how good the tri-stacked is.

Now, Zackbuck said XA2 Plus will not available in China but H4413, which appeared on the TENAA certificate, is XZ2 Plus. I really doubt that cert is legit. Also, That cert only valid on 24, July

VP Chang Cheng now claims that the Z5 wil have 45 days of standby.
Lenovo Z5 is also tipped to have 4TB of internal storage.
The smartphone is tipped to sport a full screen display as well.

Well to be fair they didn't explicitly mention that 4T internal storage. The teaser was mixed and it turned out to be a 4TB hard.but yeah chinese fake advertising is a thing. |

SDM855 seems to be in production since June.
This is purely my speculation/hope.
Is it possible that the device that will be announced soon before IFA is XZ3, and at IFA, Sony announce another xperia with SDM855, maybe 10 yr anniversary model? |

I don't blame people for picking up other phones. The XZ 2 looks anything but stunning, this is due to the thick asymmetrical bezels. In general everything about its presence screams mid-range rather than high-end. Sony is hopelessly trailing behind everyone in terms of look. Only Apple can pull an old party trick and get away with it. This ranting can go on and on, but it would be like beating an already dead horse.
I was one of you guys who kept the hopes for Sony alive but it died with the XZ2 that was supposed to be wickedly beautiful phone.
Perhaps it could have been somewhat accepted if the XZ2 Premium was released along the XZ2 with smaller bezels. Instead everything just got bugger and not particular better with Sony still trying to sort things out with their new fusion processor.

They had just made all kind of mistake now. Thick and heavy design, delay on XZ2P, overly priced the phone.
XZ2 maybe just the beginning of the change. I hope XZ2 > XZ2s/XZ3 will be similar to Z > Z1. That refinement is huge. Really make them stand out from the others.

Honor Note 10 was revealed today. Such a shame Sony can't release a big flagship after Z Ultra.
I will be buying the Note 10 and if Sony decides to release a Z Ultra successor they can count me in. |
