Waayyyyy off topic but had to post about this story from East London.

THE father of an unborn baby girl, who was brutally killed when the mother was shot during a hijacking in East London on Valentine’s Day, was taken into custody yesterday for allegedly staging the attack.

In a major breakthrough by police, detectives in East London arrested Melissa Shelver’s boyfriend, 27-year-old David Best, as he was being discharged from the East London Private Hospital.

its really sad, and The mother and my ex GF are friends

@786KBR: Only caught brief glimpses of the A1 Qualifying round. Hopefully SA can make something of today's race.

Finally watched Tsotsi last night and I don't know what all the Oscar hype is about. The last time I cringed at the movies was when I watched Straight Outta Benoni...you could see Tsotsi's makers had all the cash when u look at how beautiful it was shot but the script is poor.

Yeah the victory was schweet, I'm looking forward to the tests.

The commentators on SABC3 were pathetic today, hope they replace the bunch with some folks who are at least entertaining.

Hello every one :) I seldom post in here :( . I think you should pick up onto this story thou. The local police (Area Uitenhage) is in a quiet turmoil/chaos. With the upcoming elections over half of all functional members are send away to Transkei/Ciskei to 'quietly' help fight corruption and 'stabilise' the situation before the local governanent elections. Nothing wrong with that - althou almost no experienced policeman is left to guard 'back home' the need up there is more of a priority. The problem thou is this: all this policeman won't be able to vote. The person 'upstares' in charge with organising the special votes for us did not understand what he must do or something :( According to the law we must be allowed to vote unless the State President or the Supreme Court declares a State of Emergency in SA which they have not. Needles to say 100's of police man will press charges against the management. Greetings from Jeffrey's Bay.

@786KBR: I don't think you want to know my politics, suffice to say a friend of mine in Chicago says I would probably vote Republican if I was living over there.

Oddly enough i was going thru some of the flyers with which the contesting parties had stuffed my mailbox, and i realized that some of the smaller guys have some pretty good ideas.
I'm not superstitious, merely mildly stitious.
