Well at least Pete knows how to handle his stuff (pun totally intended).
@walgman: Right. I also saw INNNOV8 in a store and held it, although only for less than two minutes so I didn't bother testing the functions. Hear this: the slider mechanism is also WOBBLY! And the metal parts don't make it feel any better in the hand. But this could be an initial batch defect. Meanwhile for those who have been complaining about brickphones, both C905 and INNOV8 are not that big. N96 is way bigger when you hold it. In fact C905 and INNOV8 feels like they are perfectly sized.

Is anyone else having the problem of hanging up on calls when accidentally pressing the camera/gaming keys at the top of the phone where the speaker is? Anyway to disable this function? |

'scuse me if this has already been covered in this thread.
I've just upgraded from a K850i and got a C905,which in general is very good, but I've several problems with it.
First, I set the default home page to Google, but it goes to Vodaphone Live home page.. How can I change this?
Second, when I have the WiFi switched on and connected, I can't surf the internet, although it works fine when I set "Use Local" to off, and only use 3G. I can connect to it using file share, so the local IP address is fine, I set the subnet mask, gateway and DNS manually, so I can only imagine it's a problem on the phone.. Anyone got any suggestions (The reason I wanted to set the Default home page was so I could try connecting to a web server on my local area network.)
Synchronisation is working fine with exchange server, although push is rubbish, I think that's Exchange Activesync's fault. It does seem to be using the WiFi connection.
MMS doesn't work when I have the WiFi on either.
Oddly, Email seems to be working via MMS..
Any suggestions? |

If your phone is Vodafone branded, then it's not much to do about it.
If not then try update the firmware..

Following my earlier post of some the issues with my Black C905; this morning I have no earpiece volume; yes I can hear nothing.
Great for a phone, caller can hear me though. I suspect Ericsson have gone way downhill. I wish I had kept my trusted K800 which gave much better pictures and no red eye. So anyone else found they can't hear anything suddenly for no reason. I have the latest firmware R1BA042 so it is not that it must be a major design component fault. Ericsson say they haven't heard about it. So all you readers have you had this issue or know how to fix it? Suggest we all go Samsung maybe?
It happened 32 days after purchase so I have to send it 'for repair'
£450 worth of goods with a lousy design, scratching numbers, red eye and no earpiece only on speaker. Good phone hey ?
After 5 years with Ericsson this has to be the worst phone this C905 black.

SE always say that they "haven't heard of it"! I guess that's just a policy thing. My guess would be that your speaker have died on you.

Well, I just took my first picture.. A self portrait.. No red eye.. Perfect picture quality.. I'm using the same software version as you.
Camera Settings Normal, Auto, 8mp, Auto,Auto, off,normal,auto,off.
Mind you.. The anti red-eye nearly blinded me!!
Anyone got any ideas about flashing this and fixing the WiFI issue.. I hate branded phones.. It really annoys me that you have to have someones advertising forced upon your expensive handset, especially if it causes the phone not to work properly, the sooner I debrand this damn thing, the better. |
