People have asked for photos of the scratches the sliding mechanism causes on Black C905 keypads. Here's a photo of mine after 2 weeks relatively careful use. In normal use it's not obvious unless looking for it; I had to take the photo at an angle to the light to show it up at all.

my scratches are over the numbers and letters....yours are beside?
anyway..have sent in my to service today...for..sideplastic bent outwards, scratches and d-pad..bad feeling ...let's see what they can do about it... =/

@ tobias I think I recieved that BRITISH magazine today, its called stuff and it contained the exact article as you said where C905 comes out on top. I've scanned and uploaded all four pages of the article for you guys to check out. I think their being very harsh on the i850, but hey, I'm really happy that the C905 is being portrayed as king of the cam phones, cybershot is back!

hi everyone

wondering if anyone can help with a problem im having, ive just bought a c905 and love it apart from one small problem.

i have a kenwood bluetooth cd player in my car and it worked with my previous phone (lg Secret) no problem, it would connect then download my phonebook automatically.

but with the c905, it connects ok, but doesnt download my phone book, sometimes it does, although this is hardly ever. if i go to my contacts on the c905 and send them all via bluetooth this works fine. but for some reason they will hardly ever automatically syncronise, ive made sure both the cd player and the c905 have the latest firmware as well.

because i have the latest software and everything and it worked 100% ok with my LG, it leads me to think it might be a setting somewhere on the phone that decides whether it auto-syncronises or not.

can anyone help with this?

I liked the way they said the C905 was better than the other 2 (in terms of camera, at least).

Just saw it in a store yesterday. It's not that big at all! But still unable to decide between this and INNOV8 right now. Maybe should wait for a few months, so price can be a more deciding factor.

Hi,

Just a quick post to offer a positive view to balance some of the negativity toward the C905. I have had a black one for a few weeks and:

* Youtube streams like a dream, Ive just watched a 10min long game intro on there with no pauses or buffering. Perfect

* Email client works perfectly, have it set up with my gmail account and its excellent.

* Slider is not wobbly nor does it scratch the keypad.

* Phones had not crashed once.

* Wi-Fi is set up with my home network allowing me to share files across to the pc and vice versa. Wi-Fi range coveres the whole of my relativly big house with no problems.

Finally to all those with the slider scratching problems, shine a torch down the gap between the keypad and you will see that there is less of a gap over the area that is above the 1, 4, and 7 keys. If you are the kind of person that presses down on the slider with your thumb when opening I can see how this could cause it to make contact with the keypad and cause the scratches.

From day one I have used a different opening technique whereby I hook my thumbnail under the bottom of the square directional controller and push up to open the slider. This does not apply any downward pressure which could cause the scratches that some have experienced.

Shouldnt have to do this I agree, however Im used to opening it like this now and I have a scratch free keypad

If you are on the fence regarding this phone Id say go for it. Best phone I have ever owned.

it's the same with the w910. However I don't mind the scratches tbh, it's a minor problem for me personally.

Think most professionals would agree that the c905 is the batter camera although the side by side analysis of the pictures show the Samsung has the edge although is not just down to tiny differences in picture quality. Usability is critical too.

I saw the Samsung in the shop and it lacks any form of style or class. To me it was just a big chunk of black plastic. Saying that I, like many was a little disappointed that build quality of the c905 was not a little better.

The lack of a 3.5mm and low audio volume is a downer too. I am still carrying my ipod.

I am looking forward to my trip to Asia at Christmas so I can start taking some good snaps.

The audio volume is better then any of the 8 other phones I have owned, although the iPhone or iPod is still louder for music.

I don't agree with some opinions by Pete (pro photographer). sorry but "pro" doesn't mean that this guy is an Oracle in cameraphones world. last thing I would like to do is to ignore all online reviews and comparisions and buy phone only because of dSLR pro dubious opinion
