1.Are they charging 4 both sent & received data? 2.Why is it tht they still deduct 4rm account balance long after one has ended gprs connection?

@ihejirika. From what I see here, they seem to be charging on received data only (though I am surprised about that). Yes, there are times charges for an ended GPRS session are NOT deducted immediately. In one case, it took between 5 and 10 minutes before a browsing session I ran was billed and deducted from my account. But in all, the deductions were fairly accurate. In one case, I calculated N5.97, but they deducted N5.96, those kind of minute errors in calculations.
I still say you check both your phone's GPRS data counter and your airtime balance before and after each browsing session. It seems pretty accurate here. The delays in deduction may be due to some 'go slow' of some sort between the GPRS network and the billing backend.

Another thing is, even when you have no airtime left, you are allowed to browse on credit and it is deducted from your account next time you refill/load. |

Na wa O! Gsm today thanks for informing me about this "proudly nigerian" thread; I have been a member on this site since I bought my 1st SE phone last year. I have used useful info on this site to solve so many SE phone related problems. Currently using my 7th SE phone - K500i. Lost my K700 and Glo line to bus robbers last Wednesday after Nigeria - SA match. The bus suppose go Oshodi O, dem rod us and drop us for 7up. Thank God man survive. |

May b I'm getting it wrong but I was still over billed in d last calculation. My gprs counter read; Sent data=5526B, Received data=13683B,total=19209B, estimate=19.2KB multiply by 0.7=13.44. Instead of N13.44,N18.65 was deducted.I dont know if ther is any other way of doing it.

@brym.welcome aboard. @ihe. It could just be a case of ur phone data counter being less accurate? :-)

Hi all,
Thanx 4 ur concern.@Aya: I caught ur joke late. Sorry I can't contribute much on Glo's gprs costing cos as last Wednesday when I lost my Glo line it was still free. Should get a new sim tomorrow if the congestion on Glo Office is less. More later. |

@ihe: That was a joke! Anyway, I suggest that you complain to Glo. It could actually be a case of irregular billing in YOUR case. It happens: one subscriber is billed wrongly; the other is billed accurately. Talk to them. I've had issues sorted out that way. At least they always took a look, and that wont hurt
@brym. Which SE phones have u used, and which one of them has made d greatest impression on u till date?
