Pictures can not be rotated. the option is greyed out on the menu. Very inconvenient I suppose but so far I've taken all my pics straight up anyway 
Personally I think 589 euro for a locked phone is outrageous and I certainly would never pay that money if I wanted an unlocked phone.
I've caught a rumour that the first firmware update (at least over here) may be due within a few weeks. Hopefully that will add the pic-rotation. I can't help but wonder why it doesn't work now, it seems like a very basic function on the camera-related sw?

thanx vlam! thats really surprisingly odd!! If i remember correctly, Z600 can rotate pics... so why not V800??!! Yea it is sure a basic function.. its usefull if u looking at pics with a wide screen, coz somtime its juz too narrow to look at, frm a normal view.
If people do not know wat im talking about wide screen, meaning keypad pointing on the left or right manner, while looking at a pic on the screen.. normal view of the top and bottom of the screen now becomes left and right... so its wider to view pics...
if its complicated its okey.. hehehe  |

Ok I am hoping they release a firmware update asap, because I cant receive MMS due to the fact that I cant add one more account...damn Vodafone. Oh and the back battery plastic is kindy shaky...creeking annoying will head off to Vodafone and see what they say..anyone else having this creeking sound? |

Ok I am doing something really stupid right now, I am flashing my V800 with the Z1010 firmware...It seems to be going ok..16% at this moment. I am updating it with R1G.. |

no 'real HTML' sites I'm afraid, can't browse full internet.
themarques, I hope that will work out alright-ish mate. Do report back if it works and what happens to the extrenal screen and MP3 ringers and so on.

It will add one more account and thats it, it has to many pre-installed accounts on it...asks me to delete other accounts but you cant.. |

damn so ur only limited to add only one account of ur choice... man we really need to debrand this thing. but how many account do u actually need, for another network to work??
can u guyz remove the vodafone logo on the branded covers?? |

I can add account to receive pic messages but not to send...so thats kind of a bomber. I am going to speak to Vodafone tomorrow and give them hell to remove one of those profiles..lets see what happens. |

Mine only comes with 1 data account on it (Vodafone gprs), settings for 1 email account and 1 user account and nothing else. The voda gprs works for browsing and pic messages (not that I use those a lot) and the vodafone email runs on the same data account.
I was able to install 2 additional data accounts and 2 additional email accounts without problem. Haven't tried more so don;t know how many it will accept.
Yet have to figure out a way to get my ISP's email addy running as my ISP requires the phone to dial in to the server and this is one thing the phone does not seem to do... at least not for me.

Interesting how you always ask for triple confirmation on any report, except for branding-related remarks, you just accept it as fault of branding.
If you just want the settings fro say. t-mobile to work, you'd need 1 data account and one user account for T Mobile... I fully expect they are set up roughly the same as vodafone.
You'd need extra data accounts if you want, like me, to retrieve data from another server that requires another way of accessing.
By the way has anybody managed to set up a 'dial in' email account for the messages menu?

yo, relax buddy!! Unless u r hate that vodafone logo ( although i hate that logo also. ), but it still ok then. Hard to take out and change to SE logo..
When u get it , then u will understand.. And dun wait already.. faster and get 1 to ur door on Brunei, hahahaha..
