@mjct, that's very true! Even a congressman pointed the fact that we get charged for minutes we did not use is really preposterous! That's why I really hope his bill (per second mandatory charging) be passed into law.. Tpos sobra maningil sa wap charges (as against what they advertise! any comments sir dlreyes?).

Naunahan cla ng sun with this big step of theirs! Sana lang wag ito ningas kugon di ba SUNCELL boss Lance G? More power to SUN!

url of sony ericsson? ---> click me then select phone model, then "read more"...

CSD settings: (i just wanna say again that their dial up number is "temporarily unavailable"). CSD is rendered useless, but since you ask for the settings, here is...

data bearer: GSM data (ofcourse)
dial up number: +63922250
I.P. address: 202.138.159.78 or the other one you're using for wap/GPRS
data call type: ISDN
data call speed: 9600
login type: automatic
usename: wap
password: wap

**username and password are case sensitive (as always)

SUNCELLULAR

SIMPLY AMAZING?

galing unlimited calls, first day ng unlimited calls eh napakabilis maka contact

pero now... ang hirap maka contact laging try again later, but then again kahit mahirap maka call eh walang problem kc nga unlimited naman ang text so wala pa rin problem.. pwede ka mag send ng 10,000 sms in a day... hehehehehe and on time pa kung ma received!!!

anyway one thing is for sure sa suncellular unlimitec calls... pag nag labas ka ng feature of course approved ng NTC yan and may contract yan na 1 year.... kaya lahat tayo mag suncellular na.... para ang GLOBE AND SMART eh baguhin ang kanilang charging scheme

bakit kaya wala pa yng SUN sa chikka? well bakit pa kailangan e free na nga yng mga txt... for other networks! hehehe
Hindi naman unlimited yng calls na yng hanggang maubos yng bat mo o kaya magsawa ka sa kausap mo.. a single call is limited to 15 mins.. tapos auto cut.. pero ok lang.. e di magdial na lang uli! sarap mag-telebabad!

My sun cellular sim wont work on my Nokia 7650. Im not getting any signal. I tried using the sim on other phones and it worked well. When I try using globe and smart sims, everything is ok. Also when i do a network search, only Globe and smart can be found..

@jeckjerick

check the box/manual that came with your 7650. tignan mo yung part na nagsasabi kung anong frequency ang naa-access ng fone.

Here are the frequencies of each network:
Smart : 900 MHz, 1800 MHz
Globe : 900 MHz, 1800 MHz
Sun : 1800 MHz only

kaya kung makita mo na 900 MHz lang ang naa-access ng 7650 mo, that will answer your question na kung bakit hindi maa-access ng 7650 mo ang Sun network.

@ p3rsmag

in simple words..

CSD stands for circuit switched data, while HSCSD stands for high speed circuit switched data.

CSD is like your ordinary dial up ISP, only you use your cellphone to communicate with the service provider.

this service was first launched by globe if i'm not mistaken. the charging for this kind of service is per minute because it is a "call". but sun cellular CSR's claim that it is also charged 25 cents/kb.

but since there is this 24/7 thing, someone here thought that it would be nice to use CSD (since it calls +63922250, it is free of charge), but to our dismay, the dial up number was temporarily unavailable.
