Purple Z3 set to be announced soon ?
A short while ago a purple Z3 was set to be making it's way to store in Febuary and now we have some live shots to confirm Sony will introduce the familiar colour option soon. I would hazard a guess that the purple Z3 will go on sale pre-loaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop and the roll to begin the same week for other Z series products.

That is awkward. Could Sony delay the launch of Z4 to mid summer or such? |

^ same question here. Why would Sony release a purple Z3 in the coming weeks IF its successor is going to be announced in a few weeks? |

I have a feeling this will be introduced to keep the Z3 range relevant once the Z4 is released, plus with an expected price drop on the Z3 once the Z4 is available a new colour option could be a good way to help boost EOFY sales.

How smart that is! What was the problem of releasing it when they announced Z3? Is it really hard to make a purple color?
Sony will never learn.

^ So it's OK for Samsung, HTC and others to release a different colour variant a few months after release but not Sony ?
A new colour option just helps the product steal a bit more of the lime light as attention starts to dwindle down it just kind of re-ignites the flame so to speak.

My point is all about making pictures WITH FLASH, where they become useless like the pictures i posted above.
The flash module has nothing to do with the quality of the sensor.
Xperia flashes have always been bad. With no diffusion or deflector, you're better off not using a flash at all on a phone. The sensor on the z series is large enough to not need a flash

WITH FLASH,
If you want nice pictures with flash you need a xenon bulb with a decent capacitor.. the current gen LED lights can't freeze motion and their range is rather week. |

^ Agreed they are weak, but only Sony has this kind of bleed. I've never seen that with any other phone, and this problem is present since Z1, obviously because it is the same flash light and same positioning from Z1 till Z3.

My iPhone 6 does the same thing sometimes...

Led flashes suck.. the only reasons OEMs use them is because they are cheaper, easier to implement and don't add millimeters to the profile, but in return we get shitty pictures. My 808 wipes the floor with any phone when it comes to flash Photography. |

more like others moved up than Sony's slip. xiaomi is a beast backed by Qualcomm and Google
LG has been backed by Google Nexus yet it slipped as well. |

sony's fall is inevitable mostly because of china.
making sales in china, the world's largest market for smartphones, is very difficult because of the chinese sentiment against the japanese.
for now, the best they can do is to exploit the indian and southeast asian markets and hope to make it big there. |
