It should be released in March as thats when SE launch the campaign for it, costing over £8M. Which is more than the satio/aino campaign, although I didn't know there was an aino campaign.

I wonder if that will include the US as well, if it comes to the US even later I dunno if I can wait that long, I might have to go with the atrix or inspire. |

This is so far one of the videos that shows off the screen nicely. Does not look much different from x10 display. Also when you plug this device into a tv will it also charge the phone I wonder??

Screen looks pretty vibrant, but I wonder if it's set to max brightness. The X10 screen looks good at 100 per cent brightness but you won't set it like that all the time as the battery would be flat in no time. |

I always leave mine on max brightness and battery life is good. I noticed in the comparison of the screens video that the lower brightness on the Arc looks a bit too low.

To me the screen of the x10 is good enough I see no reason to compare screens all the time and I believe that one important thing that makes a screen readable in daylight is having a light background. I have seen it on my w995, a light theme is much more readable in sunlight than a black one. Imo this is a reason why the screen on the iPhone 4 is so superior. I wish I could change the blue background on my x10 to a white one |

Yes the x10 screen is good enough. It is also excellent outdoors too. I have gone off Super AMOLED displays though cos despite their great contrast and colours they seem to look more pixelated. Does anyone know why that is??

SAMOLED screens burns out after for some time.
Good move from for not providing AMOLED. Its Mobile Bravia Engine is par with iPhone 4's IPS LCD or their so-called Retina display.
I still can't get enough of the arc's design and media player. I see Motorola ATRIX and LG Optimus 2X better than this hardware wise but the design and the camera (and maybe UI) will be its best selling points.[ This Message was edited by: boy.in.PINK on 2011-01-23 04:01 ] |

LOL the Arc's actual photo and video quality is no different than the X10

Must be the The Exmor R sensor making ALL the difference.

Yes, it's par with X10's camera but I think arc's camera will be better in low light. And besides, I don't care how crappy arc's camera is. After all, Android is all about superb communication and entertainment experience. Not just the camera that matters. In fact, I like LG Optimus 2X's 1080p video recording feature even if there's nothing special and has poor encoding. I would like to see how the arc performs video recording in low light.
