Eh? The G900 screen is smaller, flush with the case and is also TFT. So i am confused by that answer?

sorry, shouldnt have used P1 as an example, just W960. Someone correct me if im wrong though.

the main point i was trying to make was that if its 'the latest thing' then it wont be in the G900 as its not really cutting edge when it comes to hardware!

Oowwwww, I see what your saying Caspa. I was just wondering, I know that LED backlights are supposed to be in thousands of small devices and that Laptops then telly's are it's next ground. I just assume phones have used them for a while but I'm not up with the tech apart from me Laptop has it. I do know LED backlights use less power and take up less space, they are also brighter.
I wouldn't of said the G900 was too far behind IMO. I know from reading here it has a newer version of the P1i hardware, not the new platform but better then the P1. In a way I'm glad as it means they've worked more on UIQ3 so it will be better and more stable. I suspect UIQ3.3 (or what ever Paris will have) will have bugs again from the off?

definately seems like they have been working on the UI from what the users have been saying, seems stable but more importantly more user friendly.

I'd hope that SE have learnt lessons from the P990 fiasco so that UIQ3.3 is released fully operational rather than in beta!

There's this cool function on the phone, Business Card Scanner. Just take a photo and the name, all contacts, address and emails will automatically be recorded in your phone. Not sure if other phones have this function.

@ cmikilp, you need to elaborate on what you said as the G900 doesn't have GPS. Are you referring to a bluetooth GPS unit and Sat nav software?

Those with G900, could you help me out with this? When I listen to music with my handset and I receive a call while music in being played, my normal ringtone doesn't come on. Instead, i hear another ringing tone. Is there anyway to activate the normal ringing style even while on the handsfree?

um for uiq phones there is an application called fring which allows you to use skype, win live msn(even voice chat through win live msn),yahoo messenger, gtalk etc all in one..you may also try im+,agile messenger and eqo.
these are apps you'l probably want to try on your g900 as i use fring and the apps on my p1 - they're all great in their own way.
lata, and enjoy day or so more and ive got mine!
