@dainesefreak: Thanks for the tip, but have now decided to wait a bit... read on the O2 site that direct debits will be taken out of your account 14 days after activation and I really can't stand Direct Debits half way through the month, I'd rather have them in the beginning when I know there still are enough funds

hi, i went into an o2 store yesterday in london and they didnt have any in stock or have any idea when they are getting them..i explained they are selling on o2 online which they replied..yeah we know.
im so torn whether to get a p1 now or wait for the w960i..may help decide if i could have a mess about with a p1... |

you could always get one from expansys or similar
expansys have a 21 returns policy so just send it back in "as new" condition if you don't want it. just don't open any software as they then charge a 25% restocking fee

hmmm thats not a bad idea..i guess i could also do that with o2 online as they should have some sort of 7-14 day cooling of period and if i like it enough to keep it & not wait for w960i then all good.
massuer, i read in another post ur running vista & got ur p1 connected..im also running vista but 64bit and SE say they wont support that for a loooooong time yet..just wondering if yours is 32bit? or if u got it working under 64bit.

Hey guys,
Im new to the forum. I just received my P1 from O2 online today (its charging now!).
I upgraded yesterday and received today, pretty good service - free of charge upgrade too! I will post a few photos up if you want to see it, box etc and if i can figure out how to.

I can confirm that there is no problem to run PC Suite 1.3.22 with Vista Ultimate x64. Everything works, except Sony Ericsson Update Service.
I have disabled UAC and Driver Signature Enforcement.
I am synchronising with Outlook 2007.
When I switched from P990i last week, I didnīt have to do any changes. It just worked and I can do backups of both. |

welcome to esato! lucky you then to get that quick, i know other o2 customers have been waiting a couple days now.
to post pics, when your reply to a thread, click attach picture, choose the file you want, upload it, then copy the link into your post which is still opened (attach pic opens another page)repeat to add more photos

Sorry to keep repeating myself,3rd times a charm. Can anyone speak on the video playback abilities of the p1i. Has anyone loaded video clips or a movie. How many frames per second (FPS) does it play. reason i ask being that the w960i is suppose to play tv quality at 30 fps.

I have installed Divx Player 0.88 and I will install SmartMovie later and report on the video quality ( I hope you are not in a rush cuz I don't have much time to play around at present).
Plus if someone knows how to work Divx Player on the P1 because when I launch it, all I get is black screen. I can't find any interface to open files. |

BB Connect seems to be working with no problems... Took a while to fully populate my inbox and while it was doing so the UI was very slow and sluggish, all back to normal when complete...
This really does feel like the device I was looking for... It really is the same scenario as the P800 - P900 - P910... Not revolutionary in terms of functionality, but doing them all very well and in a very stylish package! |

Does autofocus work for video capture? It has never worked on P990 since R5, and it now produces very blurred video and has become a much worse video cam altogether. I'm considering P1 so I hope anyone with a P1 would have an answer to this query |

Looks like there is no auto focus when recording video (same as p990)... |
