I don't care about the fps for the video. I'm sure down the line might release a Handycam phone but for now a Cyber-shot will do.
Bring it on!!! |

I think most people will be happy at the fact that its improved. And you can expect the final version to be slightly better as firmware is normally tweaked. |

Hey, nobody can help me with regards to A2DP on the K800 and how it would run?
If this is a dumb question please tell me, but in my best efforts I've found it very difficult to source accurate information in specific relation to this.

Go to the K800 White paper (2nd post down) and look at page 8 of the pdf. That should be sufficient? |

Hmm. So far nothing Ive seen makes me want to upgrade from my W800 in the summer.
The W810 doesnt really appeal to me over my W800 (just don't like the look of it!).
At the moment the K800 seems the best contender but Im just hoping a 'W' version of that phone is on the way. After the W800 the black plastic phones just seem a bit dull. |

No not at all. You claimed the reason why the W900i had higher video recording resolutions was because it had Nvidia built in graphics. A good point, but i dont think its correct at all. I think the real reason would be because the W900i simply has faster hardware over previous phones. The phones interface and media player could playback higher video resolutions because it has a QVGA screen. SE have said the reason why previous phones could not play videos higher than QCIF was down to the screen hardware resolution and because their interface simply could not handle more.
Oh and btw, im not "slagging off" the K800i, since i have no bias towards or against it, i simply have my own opinions. If you dont like them, dont read my posts.

The words mpeg4 and 15fps are clear there so you can guess what it translates to.

I know exactly what it translates to, it translates to exactly the same video recording capabilities as the K750i. If you check the movie properties, everything is set to the same bitrate, audio bitrate, resolution, data rate etc as the K750i running up to date firmware. Therefore, the videos are pretty much identical - however of those shot in that review they all appear pretty poor.
This is pure ignorance on SE's part, they simply have not updated the video recording feature. Period, no arguements. The reason i still reckon is because of slow hardware, thats my guess. The K series have always been aimed at the mass market, whereas the S700i and W900i are aimed at a more niche segment, and therefore can incorporate more into the handset and provide a higher price tag.

It's so true, etaab. As much as I wish you were wrong, and that it was simply a matter of SE tweaking the software after hearing all the backlash!
On my earlier post;
Tervel, thanks for directions to that page.
Arez, thanks also for so concisely clarifying that FACT for me. Fair to say, apart from the White Paper, IMO it's been pretty unclear. But that’s why Esato is such a helpful place!
With relation to main part of my question, when using A2DP in a car, do you have to select and reconnect the profile every time you want to play music, or does simply hitting play push the audio through? And if a call comes through it will divert to the car stereo, yes?
I'm trying to weigh it all up against the ease of use of my current iPod and iTrip arrangement!
Cheers!
