MTN user checking in... By the way, does anybody know the name of the hotel next to Solly's in Seapoint? I think it's a few doors down from a Nando's... Got my tickets bought and paid for, so next i'm going to try to take over the Boeing using a neat new Symbian app called Planes-R-Us

EDIT- Mr.Manuel's budget speech yesterday seemed to have gone down well, except that i nearly flipped the KrypMobile en route home whilst hearing him say that houses under R500k would be exempt from duty as of March this year. I nearly made it by a few weeks anyway, i take solace from the fact that the sparkling wine lovers are facing whopping 20% increase hehehe

Also, the reverse fiscal drag situation is gr8!

@da krypsta: I can't think of any hotel that's near Nando's in Sea Point, I should know as live in Green Point.
The transfer duty exemption was quite good especially for middle class families who buy homes under 500k...not feeling too bad about the booze and the fags.

Yeah, I know Lion's Head Lodge If you can, check for British Petroleum's head office in Cape Town...I live a stones throw away, just below Signal Hill- home of the Noon Day gun.

I've finally given up on using the Vlive APN...refuses to connect.

Rhino, how did you manage to move away from a P800 to owning an ordinary phone?

Right now, for me, I can't imagine not having a smartphone...it's a lot of trouble(booting, rebooting and the occasional freeze) but all in all it's worth it.

A few pics taken today with the P900's basic VGA cam:

Whilst getting a few odds and ends in the local hobby shop, I noticed Ali Mashinchy, who is the UK's no.1 R/C aerobatic pilot, discussing the installation of the two miniature, REAL jet turbines in this 4 metre wingspan (!) Lear Jet model. Half the fuselage is dismantled to gain access to these and all the on-board electronics and pumps.
The two 2m wing halves and 1.6m tailplane are visible in the background.

The local supermarket selling easy-fit denim jeans for a whopping £3...

Sun setting over east London's Docklands area.
Again, the VGA camera's limitations are easily evident in this pic.

Experimenting with the SPV C550's camera:

Brix, just heard from a buddy that part of the revamped Pick 'n' Pay at Constantia Village has collapsed. Possible casualties include a baby, as well as the folks inside a dry-cleaners.

Damn, that's hectic. Been on the beach the whole day so I've been out of the loop about any news.

EDIT: @da wanqsta: Nice pics, especially the one of the sunset over the East London docklands.

Here's a nice pic I took this afternoon of a massive cruise liner docking at the Waterfront.

Went to the beach later and took a pic of some underwater thingies.

@ brixXx,

That's one mother of a cruise ship. Nice pic.
Where was the other pic taken? Couldn't have been Sandy Bay..... (. )( .) ...?! as I'm sure the cam wouldn't have been focussing on a rock pool...

@da wanqsta: That cruise liner is indeed MASSIVE.

Second pic was taken at Queen's Beach at Bantry Bay...there were a couple of women doing some topless tanning but nothing to distract me from enjoying myself at the beach.
