@da wanqsta: Congrats on the new crib. So I've got a place to call home whenever I'm in London?

@mario2002: That story is funny, just goes to show how, as South Africans, we need to do a lot work in understanding each other. People, whether they black or white, need to be pro-active when it comes to civic affairs.

@786KBR: Thanks mate. The day went by quietly...I just recently broke up with my girlfriend of just over one year so I didn't feel like celebrating- even my birthday.

Happy belated birthday boeta. Sorry to hear about you and the gf, it happens, boet... Life goes on... On a lighter note, i've been asked to help admin a wapsite, so it's been keeping me incredibly busy. In addition there are the piles of admin work related to work, seeing that we've lost two colleagues and the work-load has been redistributed, not too equally though :-)

@ da brixsta,
My door is open if/ whenever you're in town.
It ain't quite the calibre of any MTV-style cribs, (yet...LOL!),but it's a decent 'Ekhaya in England'...and walking distance to the nearest 'tube.'

@ The Kryptik One,
Nice to have you around these parts again, swaer!
Always appreciate your contributions and pearls of wisdom in this thread-realm.
Were the 2 colleagues lost to redeployment and will they be replaced,or are the new workloads and additional responsibilities of a more permanent nature? How many kids in the class?

@ mario,
Thanks.

@ da brixsta,
It's the contract-bound,branded phones that are in really short supply.
I'd love to know how many SE could have shifted IF the UK networks had no short supply of them! Not even the Vodafone-branded white one is currently in stock. Even Carphone Warehouse has none.
From what I gather, they currently arrive in small batches and are whipped-up and sold out virtually the day they arrive.

Funny enough, you can get them sim-free (at over £400...) from some independent dealers without a problem...

If that's the situation in the UK then it spells bad news for peeps in SA who want the phone. It was supposed to have been available through Vodacom by now but there's no news forthcoming from the blue and green brigade.

@mikkroy: I will not be party to this conspiracy by capitalists to spend money under the guise of Valentines.
If you want to spend your cash, feel free.

@786KBR: I was just trying to take the mickey out of him...How do you come onto the SA thread and wish us a "Happy Valentines Day"?

When did Valentines Day get elevated to special status along with Christmas, New Years, Eid and birthdays?

And no, I ain't too cheap to shell out 20 bucks on flowers.

Just noticed this evening that I can't connect to Vodacom GPRS using the "vlive" APN...hope this is just a temporary glitch.

@coola: I'll be the first to admit that I'm not the most romantic guy in SA but rest assured all of my past girlfriends were well taken care of.
