Is there a site where I can learn more about installing software on my X1 (or should I say on WM). I'm so new with these smartphones so I don't know shit yet.
I want all kinds of cool stuff.
Thank you.
And again. Why can't I play normal MP3's in the original SE media player?

You are soft today Marc. This SE conduct is not acceptable regardless of who's to blame or how it happens. A decent company steps up and accepts responsability and provides the remedy at their cost. |

Hi!
I replaced my P1i with X1 and I must say I'm very pleased. The interface is really fast, no bugs (yet). Been up and running since last tuesday. The only thing I miss so far, as I use the device as a mp3 player as well, is the Megabass function.
that's it bro.. this what i wnated to know. sounds good, i use to use p1i as a mp3 player but now i got ipod so i ain't going to miss megabass but what makes me happy is its interface is really fast !!
thanks buddy

Which version of coreplayer plays xvid smoothly on uiq3. I have only tried the v1.1.2 and it was awful. I am still using M3 to convert my movies.
It is the last 1.2.5. version that I have. With it no need to convert regular 700mb avi movies. Also going from the beginning to the end or any part of the movie is almost instant. Youtube is also like on the PC, smooth without any delay.
Core player + document to go 4 which brought amazing speed of office document handling + all those UIQ3 hack make me much more strict in choosing the next phone and so far my eyes are only on X1. |

F & Q from Tracy and Matt's blog:
"What is the actual RAM in the device?
The X1 has 384 MB RAM but you'll note that the device information screen says 256MB. This is because the X1 also has an additional 128MB RAM that's only accessible to the CPU/3D chip"
...and the story goes on and on....

@Turboguard
Well firstly it's not SE's media player it's just a re skinned WM player maybe it doesn't like the format you are trying to use or even support it.

Try XDA-Developers. It is a forum for mainly HTC/Imate devices, but they have a section dedicated to the Xperia as it was made by HTC. Check them out at http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=436
This is one of the best fora out there for Windows mobile, including tweaks and such.

Will all the attachments of the P1i be used for the X1. Specially Charger and the wired handsfree. Is the jack same as that of the P1i? |

the X1 does not have a fastport so your P1 accessories that connect via fastport will not be compatible

Don't add to the confusion! As Masseur says, it doesn't have the Fastport, and won't use any of the same accessories as the rest of the SE range. On the plus side, the ports it does have are very standard - mini USB for charging and syncing, and a 3.5mm jack for headphones.

So that means my P1i car charger, wired stero handset, travel charger all go waste. |

And now for the bluetooth:
Well. First of all, can't receive files through bluetooth. At least not from a Nokia, and yes I have paired it.
I also have trouble sending files. If I enter the filemanager and select to transfer a file via bluetooth, the phone usually finds one or more "Unknown device". Sometimes, if I wait a while, the "Unknown device" changes to the correct ID of the device.
Yesterday I tried sending a few ringtones from my Xperia to my girlfriends Nokia, and after a few successful ones, I had to try 5-10 times for each tone before it could be sent.
Also, when using a BT handsfree, the connection seems to get broken as soon as the phone enters standby. Not very convenient if you want to use the handsfree when receiving a call.
Hi Rodin69
Which brand/model of headset did you use ?

Talking about connectors, this being a business oriented phone, has anyone seen a connector for external antenna on X1 ?
Is there any way to connect a car handsfree WITH external antenna ? |
