Haha finally got it working, seems to me that it was one of the settings in my internet profile. Changed it from PAP authentication to CHAP and all is well, i can now logon to my internet banking, navigate to secure pages with padlocks on them....\\o/ thank god for that hehe.
Me is now a happy bunny
If anyone else has this problem then you need to change your authentication protocol to CHAP instead of PAP.

I cant find where to find CHAP and PAP autentication... I connect through WLAN WPA-PSK. hmm |

@kiriakos
For PAP and CHAP:
1. Open Connection Manager
2. Select Settings>Internet Accounts from the drop down menu
3. Select your GPRS provider (e.g. T-mobile GPRS)
4. From the drop down menu (title: Data Account) select Login

yes, the clock is gone, but as I've said a few times already, you need only touch a key or the jog dial and the screen lights up and you can clearly see the time, so its no big deal

if you press something,the time will show as clear like the other p series?Is device lock still in the p990i?? |

yes, there is a keyboard lock
if you don't have the keyboard locked and you press a key or jogdial then you see the standard standby screen which shows date and time etc
if you have the keyboard locked then pressing a key or jogdial shows the instructions to unlock the keyboard which also includes the current time in an easy to read font size

A couple of questions I hope some of the more knowledgable members would be kind enough to help me with.
I've noticed that every time I press the clock in flip open mode the phone continuously vibrates and the only way to stop it is to turn it off. Is this a bug or am I missing something?
Has anyone found the IMAP IDLE function to be reliable? It has worked well for me on the Treo 650 using Chatter but I'm unable to get the same results with the P990.
