Hey thanks for the heads up on that program guy's, I'm downloading it now, could be useful for my PSP and what ever phone I get next.
@Kiriakos, why exactly should the P990I or any phone for that matter come with software to convert films etc? The P990I is supposed to be a business phone first and foremost and anything else second.
SE probably realise that as there are lots of free programs out there to encode videos then there is no point in them wasting time and money making one them selves.
Still waiting for a P990I review on this site people!!
Oh and for the record that site was the first hit under a search for SUPER on google. But maybe as Kiriakos could be in a non English speaking country then google will only get hits in that country's native language first, then English etc so it may indeed be hard to find.

well actually it was 3 from the top if I google super. I have been in there before but turn back again. Now I where searching on the page better. Sorry for that.
And yes i wanted to have a trial of similar program like this in the CD thats followed the phone. And I do think many other people wants it to. With 4gb of memory you want to fil it out with videos, mp3 etc so its not just a business phone its much much more.

But they do include Disk2Phone software for music with most of there current lines, I expect this was only made because of the Walkman brand of phones. So like I said I doubt they will spend money and time on software you can get for free, certainly not until there competitors do anyway. Do any Nokia's come with Video conversion software? |

Finally got a P990i here in the Philippines, have it for 24 hours now and I am still not tired of playing with it. A question to everybody on this thread, did you get any games with your P990i? |

And if you add the word "encode" it's the first...

How much does it cost you??? Where did you bought it? I'm also a filipino but living in saudi arabia. Golf is one of the game in the phone. |

I can access secure websites with the browser just fine. I logged into two different of my bank accounts and could transfer funds and everything. The secure icon appeared by the tab, and I could view the certificate, etc.

Hmm strange then as my p990i wont even open up a secure page before chucking up a network error message.
Just did a small test, took out my sim card, tmobile and put it in my k800i and went to the same secure page via my k800i and it accessed it pretty easily and also showed a small padlock in the top left screen. So i know its not my network thats put a bar on the sim card....very strange that my k800i has absolutely no troubles connecting but my p990i does.
Just tried my p990i again and yet its throwing up that network error message...god knows why it isnt accessing secure pages.
Any reason or does anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening....is it my phone or is it my settings??
Could people please try this website out to see if they get an error when accessing it through the p990i
https://www.secpay.com
Thanks

@ Spawn -- I can access that site just fine and see all the secure info, as shown below.
I am using a WIFI connection; I don't know if that might be the reason. I will check on GPRS and see what happens and let you know.
EDIT: I just tried GPRS and it worked like a charm as well. I don't know what the problem could be for you. Perhaps in some sort of setting. I wish you luck on getting it to work...

@ Chriswg50
Thanks buddy for checking, it now seems like i can access the secpay website on the p990i now but still cant see the secure pages...highly annoying. I dont know if its the same on my WIFI connection at home as i havent tried it on there yet.
Ive had a look through my settings but cant see anything there that looks out of place, its set to allow pop ups and warn before sending form unsecurely or whatever that setting is called.
Could it be that i need some secure certificates??, i havent installed any since i had the phone but perhaps i need some new ones as the only ones there are the ones that came with the phone itself...
Just tried that page in your pic above and again the p990i keeps coming up with a network error. Whereas my k800i can access it easily with the sim thats in the p990i..so im sitting here wondering if its my network thats stopping me from going to secure pages or is it the phone thats at fault...

Haha finally got it working, seems to me that it was one of the settings in my internet profile. Changed it from PAP authentication to CHAP and all is well, i can now logon to my internet banking, navigate to secure pages with padlocks on them....\\o/ thank god for that hehe.
Me is now a happy bunny
If anyone else has this problem then you need to change your authentication protocol to CHAP instead of PAP. |

Also make sure you're not using a proxy server (this can also be checked when editing the profile from Connection Manager>Settings)
