My wife has an xperia SP. The white balance setting ls are there since thr time she bought it in July. Hope we get it in Z1 as well. |

that's what i'd do.. just a matter of what you can afford.
ordered the phone yesterday from HK and got a phone call at 9am in Thailand that they had a package for me, had the new phone at 11am - now that was fast, total cost 380gbp
so now I can wait without pressure for the replacement parts to arrive and I will have 2x Z1's (will probably sell one of them
The new phone is perfect - screen as good as the replacement one I got so all good |

Good news Geoffxx.. now try to keep the new one from being stepped on, dropped, and/or any other dangers that may befall a smartphone in this day and age 
Looking forward to having white balance for sure, though not super critical. I'd like to see what difference it can make though. I will be disappointed if they limit camera apps between the Z1, Z1s, and Z1 compact. They all have the same camera, they should all have the same camera apps and quality. The differences in size should be enough of a differentiation. Luckily, even if it is limited by Sony, people are gonna port it anyway and it should work since it's all the same anyway.

After long Tug of war ,I received my CheQue after 3 months Finally!!!!!!!!!!,paid my hefty price>.) I am just happy now but sad for not having Sony phone. |

please come back and let us know how your new purchase works out, I have a feeling it will be far from perfect for you also, I have looked at all the other phones on the market and done a little research and they all have their foibles, the Sony Z1 least of all and still a better all round device by a country mile |

Thats great Vikeviki, I'm guessing you're going to wait for the Z1 upgrade? Hopefully you won't get a poorly built unit this time.
Btw, amazing how ignorant and defensive people get over someone who gets a bad unit, almost like it's your fault.

Hey everyone,
So I'm finally going to make the switch from Verizon to T-Mobile here in the states (thank god) since T-Mobile announced they would buy out service contracts if you make the switch and buy a phone with them. I'm looking forward to be able to finally get a Z1 (albeit in Z1S form) but I'm really sick of large screens and would like to sell the Z1S and get a Z1 Compact.
Does anyone in the US that bought an international Z1 have any advice, such as how/where they shopped, for purchasing a Z1 Compact that will work on T-Mobile?

I have nothing to say guys,its been unhappy days for me for not able to join android bandwagon,however I have to wait 5-6 months for next successor,which really sucks my time.I am not sure on my next steps however for time being I can go for motorola moto g heard good news on this.....Let me see how I can get my true Sony phone in coming months......

No, that is the T-Mobile USA version due to the required AWS bands it's network still predominantly uses. The Z1 Compact works for AT&T, and a few other providers across N. America.
PS: I'm still upset of "America" only focuses on 1 out of 3 countries in N. America ... their just a collection of United States

Just want to clarify, based on the White Paper of the Z1 Compact, it does work with T-Mobile USA since AWS is available in both HSPA+ and LTE.
Also, anyone starting to have issue with the power button on their Z1? Mine's getting really stiff, lost that click feeling when depressed, and need to press it in real hard to get it to work..... Debating over if I want to send it back for warranty repair. Don't want to be Z1'less for a while and the idea of setting up my phone again is a pain. Anyway, does anyone have any idea on how long the warranty would take to process at the UK? |

Hi all just letting you guest know there are 2 new themes to download for your Z1 they are called "Fresh Car Smell" and that come at a charge of £0.93 and the other is "Clean Foggy" which is free to download. I have dowloaded the Clean Foggy theme and it is good gives a lot of colour changes to both the nav keys and staus bar plus the usual theme changes to go with it in the home screen and app drawer and SMS menu. It is well worth a download go give it a try.
