this is wat happen when i juz take close up pictures
marco and nite mode r on using normal mode, no other settings

1st example:
1st time taking this picture with a range of 8cm, and the camera wont focus at all, juz zoom in and out and the green light juz keep blinking

after restart the camera the focus work, and it looks pretty good

2nd example:
same setting as above but without macro, the camera cant focus the pic, it juz zoom n and out then the green light on corner juz keep blanking like on the 1st example

after restart the camera, picture can b focus and is brighter than b4 without any change of setting from previous picture

all pictures are taking about 8cm away from object

@whatsucka

even the slightest change in position changes the focus process, I suggest you use a tripod to test out your problems...from your pictures its like comparing apples with oranges.

Nice pics... Since the pics are resized I can't really see is there any improvement in sharpness... What's your impression? Is this cam module really any better then the original w810 one?

hmm... 8cm can be problem, i think this is too close. even 1mm in very short range can "disarm" autofocus - try 10cm or set manual focus to 4.0, enable zoom preview and move camera to find minimum distance to object (i have ~10cm). one more thing to note: on some pictures you have macro = off but it's obvoius that you cannot take very close shots without macro = on because when macro is disabled focus mechanism can work above ~40cm only (you have much lower distance)

BTW: i will release v6.5 soon which fix some MXE-60 and stability issues

@raider:
although your driver is just amazing but it gives a lot of green which looks better but can we do it like we have colors in the Blksnaker 9.21 or 9.01 they are more near to natural
but i must say that your driver is fast and sharp.
good job frnd.

here are some pics clicked with Blksnakers 9.01
real nice and very very quick driver.

too much green? no problem... just decrase SATURATION parameter which some people describe as "vivid"

small interesting fact:
did you guys ever wonder why camera can be unstable when taking snapshot with huge amount of green color? i also wondered about this. answer probably is very easy - it's because of sensor structure called "Bayer pattern":

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayer_filter

so, if green color is 50% of color data then if we take photo with a lot of green result will be only one: big amount of data which compression algorithm sometimes can't fit into 600kb file size limit and that's why we have crash
