@jakester2000

To remove Orange customisations you'll need the K7S firmware file and the K7D default language file.

EMEA = Europe, Middle East = English, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Polish, Russian.
EU1 = European Union = English, Portuguese, Spanish, French.

So it depends on what other languages you want as both have English.

Still, using these latest R2AA003 files will leave you unable to use the update service.

Cheers,

Col.

That's good news Zed,

I have the EU1 K7S, K7L and K7C R2L001 files, including the original Decustomise_Firmware.K7S, on my HD.

Hope you get your cable soon

Cheers,

Col.

@Kwyjibo
Are you sure the cable is correctly wired, i received my cable from Face off this week and the white wire was going to pin 5 not pin 7.
I had exactly the same fault as you until i soldered the wire to the correct pin.
Double check your cable !!
I reckon they have a dodgy batch !!

where can i get the files (firmware, customization, language) including older version of TS that would enable me to flash my phone to the firmware and customization, so I can use the SE site for further updates??

Can the folks who have these files help??

can someone here in US can help me out?

I got an 02 phone, after the debranded it using v1.30 with Zone 2, chinese_HK language file. After everything was completed, the phone said Configuration Error, please contact the service center or something...wasted my credit too, now my phone only can make SOS calls....

I'm just wondering, when you debrand the phone, do i really need to use the same zone that I have on the phone? and the phone i have is EU_6_C which is not on the list, but I assume is Zone 1?

SOS SOS SOS SOS SOS...thank you!

hi guys

this is interesting.. i used TS1.30 and the repair/debrand tab. then used K700_FIRMWARE_ZONE_1_R2L001.K7S firmware file.

when i got to the default language file part i realised that there isnt an r2lxxxx.K7D file. it would not let me use the r2aaxxxx.K7D so i just diconnected the phone expecting it not to work

but it does!! no o2 branding. r2l firmware and no credit used!!. the only thing missing that i can see is that there is no icon on the top left where the o2 icon was.

non of my user data has gone either

now says
R2L001
prgCXC125821_EU_1_C

Customisation
CDA102298/17 R25A
cxc125822 R1A
EU_2

BTW used T28 cable
mark

ps will try the SE update as soon as it is back online and let you know

somersetdude,

I have the same problem as you mentioned earlier with my T28 cable. When I try to unlock my K700i using the Total server my phone just continuously turns on and off, and says "charging" on the screen. I too got my cable from face off so I think you're right about them having a dodgy batch.

Anyway, my question to you is how did you fix your cable? Is it easy to do? and is there somewhere where I can look at picutures of the cable to see how it should be wired?

If its too difficult then I guess ill send it back and wait around for a new one!

Thanks,

Tim

@teb1980

If you pop open the SE phone connector you will see 4 wires one of which is white, it is currently connected to Pin5 and needs to be moved to pin 7. This is the very next pin further toward the orange wire. If you can't solder,it is possible to just bend the two pins together inside the connector and then re-assemble putting a small piece of tape over pin5. Page 17 of this thread has a pic but the wire colours in that are different except for the white wire.

Hi Cakepanda,

That's interesting. Was your phone branded with O2. Are u sure that you brand it due the brand/repair tab. So you tell us that you only flashed the K700_FIRMWARE_ZONE_1_R2L001.K7S firmware file.
