@O2,
well well, you have ask lots of questions here. Where are you now? Which asia part are you in?
I hope i can answer your question yet...
1. Unlocking AVAILABLE - ( Yes Indeed!! I just unlocked )
2. Unlocking available ONLY for contract NOT for offline V800 - (Can say true at this moment)
3. Unlock by vodafone in London NOT sure ( You have to
unlock from Vodafone at this moment in UK. )
4. Offline V800 NOT sure available coz no one said anything about offline. ( Currently Yes, no OFFLINE, maybe on December?? )
5. Offline V800 how much it COST?? ( Check ebay.co.uk,
some seller indeed selling this phone - around 400 - 500
on bidding )
6. By unlocking, does it work by using other sims outside Europe? eg. asia sim. ( Confirm can use in asia sim card, just like normal phone. )
Hope this help to u.. hehe |

@o2,
Oh, dun say like that. I'm from Malaysia. ( But current location in UK, so can get V800 from Vodafone UK.. hehe ).
Since u are in Brunei, should can get this phone easy, ( pm me if u wan me help u get one then.. )
Anyway, fell happy abt it. ( Does Brunei have 3G?) if yes, you can't fully happy about it cause this phone current support vodafone. If u have unlock it, the GPRS settings stil remains to Voda, so bit hard to change ( or maybe change to Z1010 fw? ) Hope this helps...
Btw, look the pictures from the website from mobilemag, this means V800 will have non branded. ( Currently the software fm is still in Vodafone.) This is cool and we can buy those covers then.. Boy I like to change to white color, just like be an i-pod gadgets.. Yeah!!

V800 offline (but locked to voda and voda branded) is 589 euro.
Unlocking is available (probably at a fee, i have not looked into this)
Z1010 firmware may cause loss of the external screen functions. (and perhaps MP3 ringers as well altough i am not sure of this)

how do you check the version of your firmware?
Also, do you find that you can't rotate the photos that you've taken?? It says: "currently unavailable"
When does it become available?? |

@ollytang,
to check version, press -> * <- <-* <- * when you on the phone and into the standby menu .U shall enter the service menu, click service info to check the software version.
Pictures rotate? means turn the picture upside down or change to another pictures.??

Yesterday I bought my V800 and am very happy with it, so far my only problem is the UMTS coverage in my area. When I make a phonecall with the phone on UMTS network, it loses contact after 5 seconds due to weak signal and logs on to the Vodafone GSM network. That does bother me to some point. My workaround for this is to put the phone on the GSM network manually. Now I only have to wait for Vodafone to expand the UMTS network since it is way to cold to go outside (where there is enough coverage) all the time to make a call.
