In day time yes, but try a night shots with flash and post the results here so we can judge, Z1/Z2/Z3 are trash while taking pictures with flash at night. I have Z1 myself, and i just saw it's exactly the same with my friends Z3 and i got mad!
Because every smart ass out there knows you don't take night scenes with flash! |

I tried to take some house with crazy xmas lights at night once with my s3 and note, all I see in the pic is a bunch of blurb with out without LED flash in any iso setting. No way, even the crap auto mode my z1 is going a better job without LED flash. I rarely even use flash of my Z1, only when its pitch black with absolutely 0 light, I normally just rely on the street or ambient light but increase the iso. With note 2, there has to be flash in order to even see any thing. |

try taking photos of people without flash in the dark... z1,z2 and z3 are terrible in this situations, light bleed and everything is somehow whitish when using flash, Sony need to sort this shit out...

I use my phone's flash more as a flashlight (on daily usage) rather than as a light source when taking pictures haha
Thus, I think something like the later iPhone's (and I think HTC too?) Dual Tone Flash.

Can you prove it? Cause I don't believe that a galaxy s3 mini could possibly beat a Z1 in low light photography.

i had S4 before Z2 and i can certainly say Z2 is way better camera performer.also beside daylight photos it was useless.so figure out how S3mini would perform |

nikola1970 talking about situation when you taking pictures of your friends in the night with led flash. In that situations z1,z2, and z3 is useless unfortunately... And almost every other phone can take better photos. Led flash is really weak and there is a lot of light bleed in photos and pictures are dull and without good contrast.

These pictures are pure trash, seriously, who can say they are not?
Sadly, can't get photos from friend's S3 Mini, but i will make comparison whne i meet him, asap.

I suggest if you want compare image quality of different camera phones you create another thread or use the thread for the phones in question please. Can we now get back to what this topic is all about now and just move on.

I own a S4.
It is as Terrible in lowlight as Awesome it is in daylight.
Anyone who says S3 or some s3 mini is better than Z1/Z2/Z3 in lowlight is obviously trolling on a payroll.
I have done great shots in lowlight with Z2 that i cant even think of From my s4. S4 just miserably fails everytime in low light.
So when even S4 is not a competition, S3 shouldn't even feature in the list. |

My point is all about making pictures WITH FLASH, where they become useless like the pictures i posted above.
Sorry for slightly off topic XJ, but it's not like this doesn't matters about Z4, which is said to have the same sensor.
And i am not a troll or paid, i never had anything but Sony Ericsson and Sony, i love Sony, and i can say i am fanboy, but i want then to fix all these problems so we can have the best phone possible. Only if we point them all the problems we can expect them to fix and be better. Just look at the photos above.
