@masseur

Have you done a download speed test yet to see if the HSDPA is 3.6Mbps or higher?

yes, I posted my findings in the UK Networks 3.5g speeds discussion.

the best I've seen for the few trials I did was 1360kbps

im not sure you would actually reach 3.6mbps?

i mean yes it is capable, but here in aus, on 3 network for example, network is currently at 3.6mpbs. though, with mobile broadband and phones the speeds are between 600kb - 1.5mbps. not exactly sure why the max cant be reached.

maybe some one can explain why its like that.

3.6mbps is theoretical. 3.6 would be achieved in an ideal environment, meaning an environment free of any sort of physical limitations which could distort the signal.
Just like on a wired connection of 1mbps, its not possible to get exactly 1mbps because of the resistance offered by the copper wire.
However, i wonder what sort of limitation would cut the speed in half.

You can do it. First you need to change the track length to no longer than 30 secs, then change the .m4p (I think) to .m4r

There are loads or guides on google if you need extra help

I used a program called iringer and it works like a dream. It loads the song and cuts it to 30 secs and auto loads it into itunes ringtones section. Very easy to use in windows

I have an article on how to convert an MP3 into a ringtone, it was in iCreate magazine for mac but can be adapted for PC users too, quite simple to do. Will try and dig it out for you Shelly, tonight if i remember, unless you've sorted it already.

Can anyone help me with this... It's from page 33 of this thread..

I am trying to sort out the settings for an iPod Touch's Exchange server settings and wonder if they are the same as the iPhone's.

In the Touch

Email -

Username ( it shows greyed out, Domain/User )

Password –

Description – which defaults to the email address that was input

After touching ‘next’, a new box appears for the server address to be added.

I can't get it to work, but I know people with the iPhone who use the same server and service...

I want to know if the fields are named differently. A link to the iPhone PDF manual would suffice

edit... ok got it now,......

but it doesn't tell me the fields.................
