BLUESPOON HEADSET NEW POST !! |

It is expensive. However, it is the best product of its type out there and probably will stay that way while for quite some time. Even the HBH-60, as good as it is supposed to be, cant touch the BS. If it is more than you can afford then dont buy it. I would really like a mercedes s430 but i cant afford $72K for a car so the 320 had to do. |

I agree, I mean this is the smallest lightest headset ever made. Nextlink (with Jan's help) have managed to fit the longest lasting battery, a microphone, an earpiece and a Bluetooth chip into a device that is only just bigger than a standard wired headset. I mean think able it of course it is going to be expensive. The smaller the more expensive in technology, so just deal with it. these guys have worked so hard to design this wireless lightweight tiny headset and you are moaning because it is a little on the expensive side.
Top job JAN.
PS I have to admit though i am still getting problems keeping it linked up to my T68i. After i pair it I can only use it for one call (incoming or outgoing) and then it keeps on saying BLUETOOTH connection lost and I cant make or recieve another call until I reset the headset and re pair it. Then I only get one call out of it again. What do I do!!! |

I am not 'moaning' about the price, I am commenting on it. Obviously we all have different amounts of money and different requirements, so we spend what we can afford on what we want/need.
Don't get me wrong, I love technology and cool toys, and the Bluespoon is clearly the best of breed. It is currently the only headset I would buy - but not at that price. For my needs a £15 'normal' handsfree would suffice - for others the lack of wires justifies the extra £185.
Dunc
PS
It also seems that people are having a few difficulties getting the Bluespoon and other headsets to work. So you pay £200 for headset and have loads of hassle getting it work, rather than spending £15 and just plugging it in.

Sorry Duncan,
I had a bit of a hard day and maybe I was just to justify the £200 that I spent to myself!! I know excatly what you are saying. Bring back the wires (until I can get my BS to work anyway). It's ironic as I have actually used my normal headset more since I have got my BS, but my friend had the same problem and then his started working and it loves having it. Anyways sorry again.

You pay your money, you make your choice.
At the moment, Bluetooth Headset, particularly Bluespoon is a "Now" product.
People want it, they want what the conceive to be the best and are prepared to pay a premium for this.
Look at ebay and see how many Bluespoon, P800 etc are being touted.
These people don't have the product but there are plenty of people out there who see their ads and make enquiries.
Original Bluespoon will reduce in price by 50GBP when the jawbone mike is offered, that will be on sale for circa 225GBP depending on the cost of raw materials to nextlink.
@jh67
Jan out of interest, as the Bluespoon is the only product I know of which goes into "sleep mode" could this be part of the problem with the connection being lost? Just asking. I do have trouble sometimes when I set connection to automatic on T68i [not with Bluespoon] so maybe its not with the headset. |

When using Bluespoon theres no need to put your T68i into "automatic" mode,..as this function will only work with Ericsson/SE headsets,...NOT with other headset-brands or other bluetooth devices.
The automatic mode is an "Ericsson-thing" hehe,...and if you´re not using a HBH-headset,..then you cannot use the automatic mode.
The Bluespoon headset is not the problem,..it works great with all bluetooth phones, including Nokia
SE-phones are the only ones with the automatic-mode option,...so yes, if you turn the phone in automatic mode, when using Bluespoon or after, it could cause those problems, also when trying to reconnect.
I only use ON and OFF modes on my T68i. I dont have any problems at all using Bluespoon or other bluetooth devices with the phone.
I can easily recieve calls,..also recieve normal phone calls, and transfer them to headset,..and also use voice-features.
It doesnt have anything to do with the Deep-sleep-mode, but more that the SE-phones have the automatic function.
The right way to turn Bluespoon and T68i connection on/off, is to do it this way :
First turn T68 bluetooth ON,..then turn Bluespoon ON.
When disconnecting : FIRST turn Bluespoon OFF,..then turn T68 bluetooth mode to OFF.
T68 SETTINGS should look like this :
SETTINGS > Handsfree > answeringmode : AUTOMATIC
Handsfree type : AUTOMATIC
CONNECTIONS > Bluetooth >Settings > headset-sound > headset.

theres no release-date for the Jawbone Bluespoon as of now.

Jan,
I have tried and tried to set the BS headset up the way you have described but I still cant get it to work properly. Everytime I set it up it works fine for a few calls and then it says 'BT connection failed' and I have to reset the headset and re pair it to the phone. I actually have three of the headsets and they all do this. My friend is testing one of them and he is also getitng the same problem.

My bluespoon has been paired with an T68m for the past week and I have made a lot of calls and I didn't have any problem with the pairing. The Bluetooth connection on my T68m is set on "AUTOMATIC" all the time and it is working 100% of the time.
By the way, I still don't have to recharge the bluespoon! Amazing after having the bluespoon on 24 hours a day for the past 6+ days!!

I've been using mine with a T68 with BT set to 'On' and I've had no problems at all. The only time it's ever disconnected is when I've experimented with the range and it's finally given up! |

dupasquier > Hehe,..about the battery-times,..I know,..they are quite impressive.
The danish magazine guy that did a review/test of Bluespoon, was really sad that he didnt get to use the charger/cradle at all, hehe.
Bluespoon just kept on going
RAMS > Hmm,..it sound really strange.
One thing people have to remember is not to just put the Bluespoon in the cradle,..that will reset the headset.
I guess you might have a faulty headset,..those things happen of course.
The phones bluetooth-connection could also be an issue.
A "failed connection" could also be, if you move out of range.
I´ll try to retrieve some further info and post it here.
And I´ll tell Nextlink about the problems You´re having
Regards

Thanks Jan,
I have now tried my headset on two other phones (one T68i and one Nokia 6310) but the same thing happens, I can make one call and then it will not connect again unless I reset it and pair it up again. It must be the headset. It's so annoying.
I will get hold of expansys and try and get htem to send me another one, guess I will be in a long queue again.
