OK, well now I am much more tempted to send my K850i back to O2 for a replacement... |

I've already posted this in another thread but this one seems a lot 'busier' so I thought I'd post my problem here too.
I've just received my k850i and am experiencing the problems with the flash which are adressed very well in other threads on here but I've got a couple of other queries:
1) I can't seem to change ISO level.
The radio button against 'AUTO' is selected but when I scroll down to ISO 100, ISO 200 and ISO 400 I can't select any of these options. There are no radio buttons against the ISO choices.
For example I scroll down to highlight ISO 200 and the select button changes to an 'i' and if I press it it comes up with a message "Currently Unavailable"
2) Same with MACRO. It seems as though this funtion is always in AUTO mode with no way of selecting either MACRO or INFINITE. When I try to select them then I get "Currently Unavailable"
Am I just doing something wrong or is my phone faulty?

Did you select a preset of options (=scene(like landscape/sports/snow)) ??
If yes, then you can't adjust it any more. turn all of them to auto/normal and then check again. |

i cant get it to work either, via usb or bluetooth. i am running XP SP2. i think if ur pc is connected to a doman it wont work. i got as far as sharing the main LAN connection with the LA connection made for the phone but after that it all went pete tong....so a nice step by step for dummies would be nice. even tried it at home through my broadbanc, i.e. not logged onto work server but still no joy. |

i'm on 029 but i do not have this flash problem...since u just received ur k850, i'd suggest u test it out first and see if ur's is one of the unlucky or lucky sets

as in...use ur phone for a couple of days/weeks and see if u are encountering the same problems with the flash. don't just assume that coz u have 029, u'll have that issue with the flash. coz i'm on 029 and i don't have a problem with my flash firing off at the wrong time.
cheers. |

OK, sent my phone off to O2 finally. I have been told I will not be getting a brand new K850i but a refurbished one. |

Refurbished phones aren't an issue; the whole casing is replaced, so when they are like brand new. Also, you'll have the same period of warranty. Really, it's no different to a new handset.

I've worked out the issue with Vista and internet pass-through. I will put up a proper post later when I'm home with my Vista PC.
Ok so i've managed to get it to work on XP but not with Vista. For a nice walk through for XP click here:
http://sonyericssonblog.wordp[....]our-a200-mobile-phone-via-usb/
His screenshots are pretty spot on apart from one - where I has to select a specific option in order to say that my computer "had a direct internet connection" (see his walkthrough).
As for Vista, I tried everything written here including checking HTTP Webserver in the ICS settings... Anyone got any further with Vista? Sebby?
