There is no zoom in saved file in new CID49 v.8.53. But other functions work in full res. mode!
Please explain, what is the perpose to save zoomed files? You can crop it later in PS. You can tune v.8.52 too, using my post from p.31.

Each scenes has a purpose, like if you are shooting in a sports game, use 1.6 sport scene. If you are shooting in a night place lets say if you are in las vegas... use 1.4 night scene. The 1.3 scene is the standard night mode of our camera...

1.0 normal - that's self-explanatory
1.1 Portrait - people and close objects in normal light
1.2 Landscape - far objects and landscape views, nature, etc in normal light
1.3 Night Portrait - normal night mode
1.4 Night Scene - low iso (100), low noise, makes perfect pictures of city lights
1.5 sports - fast shutter speed, noise in pictures, used for moving objects
1.6 Beach/snow - ?
1.7 Document - perhaps used for documents
1.8 Manual Exposure Scene - very slow exposure, used in very dark conditions with no movement and preferably a tripod

At least that's what I think...

don't think so. the flash goes off after you take a pic for some reason. why would you like to set it on all the time?

1.6 Beach/snow - ?

i would be guessing that this scene is for those scenario where theres too much white on the background or around the subject itself. Like a cloudy sky. or if your out on the snow etc etc.

well i used LEDS on each scene and it did affect the output.. but theres this EV that we can adjust anytime to compensate. hope im doin it all right.

With the EV adjustments. does anyone know what exposure is at each EV setting?

I assume - EV is shorter exposure and + EV is longer exposure?

indeed, at 1.4 you should adjust EV to more than 0.0

Does EV change only shutter speed? What about ISO, apperture, etc?

In Night Scene 1.4 when you change EV the ISO remains roughly constant at 100-125, but what about the other scenes?

others scenes in low light conditions, ISO gets higher, creating a lot of noise.
