| FS/system/settings/messaging/mms
look for the string ... "message-max-size"100"message-max-size". Just change 100 on 1024

im sure its at the right size. and the animation is fit to end as long as the original.
well actually i did somethin else besides tweakin the shutdown animation, i also did camdriver tweaks.. from 97% down to 95%.. ive noticed some of my saved jpegs had gone blocky after doin that.. silly isnt it?
and one more query... about menus. have you tried doin the straight line menu. not the 4x3 matrix.. but on one straight line, just like some of W810's theme. was it successful?
|
|
My shutdown seems okay but I've only tried the matrix and this my current one:
I have the single line backstreet fullscreen icon set. It's very smooth, I love it. On my sis's vodafone I've completely rebuilt the menu, I'm down to 7 main menu options (all options are available but some now in submenus). Having 7 instead of 12 items in the main menu makes the single line menu very quick and simple to navigate compared to the matrix style.

that's a damn good question! I only just noticed it's different. And looking at my phone now it's the normal one - but that picture (taken of my sis's K750 with my K750 camera) shows a different icon?
Oh, just realised why. It's a vodafone handset - they have different internal icons. You can't change them with far - it's in the main flash. since I've since flashed my sis's vodafone into a generic W800, the icons have returned to SE icons.

did you try without doing a reset?
a reset restores them. there may be .itm files that can be deleted to prevent this.
I'll look into it.
@rocky, try using a png image if you haven't already. make sure it is exactly 176x220. i also haven't worked out the best no. of frames for an animated graphic. i have a matrix animation that looks cool but phone takes then too long to shutdown
|
|
yah... and if your not careful about it, and leave your animation on loop.. darn youll wait ages before the phone shuts down..
so reminder to all who wanna tweak their shutdown image... do not loop your animation... make it one cycle and then thats it... DONT LOOP!
any animation under 3sec i think is good.

@max_wedge: that battery indicator looks nice. what I don't really like in most SE phones is the bars indicator with is blue background... really ugly... I guess it can't be changed eaither... |

This one's not a bug but it irks me to kingdom come why there is no space between the 's' in events and the '(' in (0) in here:
It doesnt make sense when they actually got it right in here:
dunno if K750's and W900's do this too
now, say the FAR plugin gets updated and is eventually able to work with CID49, can the text labels (service menu > text labels) be modified so we can rectify this? on CID36 phones, anyone's been able to modify text labels yet?

the lack of space is maybe because maximum number of characters possible in the textlabel are used. The number has to be able to expand to (XXX) so there are actually 2 more "characters" used than what you see in this picture.

I've seen a few people ask others for files because they deleted/changed something using FAR and forgot to back it up - don't laugh, it's easy to do. So here's a tip that I recommend to everyone:
1) Create a backup folder somewhere on the your computer.
2) Open far, select the right column and browse into the backup folder create in step 1.
3) Select the left column, press f11, select SEFP and hook up to your phone
4) Open the FS folder and highlight everything in the root of the FS directory
5) Select Copy or press F5 - make sure the copy option lists the backup on your computer as the destination and NOT sefp (otherwise you may copy a heap of files from your p.c. back to the phone – believe me I’ve done it)
7) Duplicate the backup folder on your computer and use it to browse through the contents of your phone off line.
I've just done this and it beats having to hook my phone up every time I want to check or modify something. It’s heaps faster. And, most importantly, it means I have a complete backup in case I really mess up.
I hope this is useful to someone.
