Have you opened up your "fake" T39? On the main board it should say when the board was made.
Youve got me worried about having bought a fake now. Should find out tomorrow.
I will be checking it very closely to see if it is genuine.

The phone itself is not completely fake. The phone he bought was sold as brand new but the case was not an origianl case and neither was the battery. The IMEI sticker was obviously faked as well. The box was home made and the manual was a photocopy of a T20 manual with a home made copied cover of a t39 manual. |

I'm quite sure! Or the quality of mc is so poor what I wouldn't hope.
Look at the pics!
box, manual, cover, flip, IMEI-sticker, battery, backcase is obviously not original.
The only thing that's original is the mainboard and display.

Well, if the mainboard is ok, just change the covers and thats it. I think some mainboards were stolen from a factory, then some "smart minds" created those stickers and sold the units.

I also thought about empty boards, but I think it migt be damaged handsets which haven't been destroyed as order has been. Maybe there has been a company that should destroy the warantie returns and instead of destroying they sold them.
For example T39 with No-Network-Bug could be repaired quite easy if you have the right soldering equipment.
And the Asia-MArket is full of offers of 'Faked' original sparparts like covers, antennas etc.
@boba: Not, why should I buy all parts new for replacing these parts on my T39? Than I'll also need a box and a sticker and a IMEI sticker which is hard to find (on the legal way)
I think it's better to place it like it is as faked T39m/mc near to the original T39 in my collection.
It's maybe a honour for Ericsson that their handsets are so high qualitity that it'S a good buisiness to sell faked handsets. That's near to a faked GUCCI or NIKE item.

Are the digits near the locks - "5"? If not and phone is unlocked that's 99.9% empty board.
Forever!

@tiger u are right in the point, that those should keep the sticker on. Weird, the /// didnt "hunted" those items to get out of the market.

@Boba What for do they needed to hunt on those faked ones? They just ignored those 'black' sellers because hunting on empty boards could become an expensive entertainment.
