@ da brixsta,
Prior to me buying the handset, I checked out various sites to see what applications and games are available for the MS OS.
Although there is clearly a growing amount of stuff becoming available for the Windows Mobile phones, it is still obviously nowhere near to say, S60.
However, after registering at www.coolsmartphone.com and seeing what software and applications are becoming (increasingly) freely available, I finally convinced myself that there's enough stuff out there to keep me interested in Windows Mobile phones.
From that site alone, I was able to download a screen capture application for the SPV, as well as games like Micro Tourismo, SPA Rally3D, XRally Alpha, classics like Doom and Quake, etc.
I haven't had much time to install and try many of these downloadd games and applications yet, (still quite dormant in my PC's 'phone stuff' folder..)as I have been so damn busy, but will for sure be trying out and report on more of these as and when time and commitments allow.
www.handango.com has some truly awesome and tempting games and applications for Window Mobile phones, but you pay handsomely for some of these...

@da wanqsta: I hate paying for stuff when I can get it for free. There's been a lot of things weighing on my mind since those pictures of the rumoured "K800" appeared.
I'm planning to visit Europe around the middle of the year- for a week and thought I could kill two birds with one stone...buying a new SE on the cheap while seeing some friends in Italy, Switzerland and Holland.

The thing is, if some 'unofficial' sites do have the games and applications for free, then of course I would utilise these instead of unnecessarily using up my moola, but it's a bit frustrating if you see games and app that you're after on these 'official' sites and not on the er...'others'.
Fortunately coolsmartphone downloads are free... |

South African finally wins something...if only a cricket match against Sri Lanka. Well done guys...here's hoping Bafana Bafana do the impossible.
BTW, any coverage of the African Cup of Nations in the UK...last time it was on BBC3.

Man, that match with SL was close...9 runs.
I kinda thought it would be won or lost by a fraction of a fly's ball-hair.
As regards the African Cup of Nations, you're spot-on. BBC3 supplies a whole 2 hours of it,between 7 and 9pm...prime viewing time!

Wanqsta, would you have any idea where a mate of mine in the Newcastle, UK could buy a 32mb mmc for a 3650 at a reasonable price?

@da wanqsta: I thought those games would've been broadcast on Sky Sports...it's funny to think that we've got a 24 hour football channel.

@ O Kryptik One,
Only 32mb?!For not much more money, they could get something far more worthwhile/ value for money, memory-wise. Each to their own, I guess...
If he doesn't want to wade through the auction minefield that is ebay, he could try www.mouse2house.co.uk for a start. They are usually very competitive.
Masseur's previously posted a few links regarding very cheap MMC prices on www.amazon.co.uk
I'll have a look tonight when I have more time on my hands and let you know.
@ da brixsta,
I would've also expected the matches to be aired on Skysports 1,2 or 3... just as the cricket has been.
Mind you, this is the land where the official religion seems to be 'Football'... |

Thanx boet. It's for a young lady who's just bought the phone for next-to-nothing, intends using the card for only pics, as far as i can tell. She's not into apps, doesn't even want to download a 3rd party browser ;-) Your help's appreciated, boet

@ Kryptique,
Right, while scowering the net, it has become apparent that most places stocking MMC's here are simply not bothered with 16, 32 or even 64mb cards.
No surprise there I guess.
Now then, you will find some (about 6 or so) on ebay for around £4-£5.
Out of these sellers, they either don't have 100% feedback or don't currently sell the ones listed as Buy-It-Now.
The lowest memory capacity commonly sold, which seems 'standardised' by most of the online shops, is 128mb.
Mouse2house are charging around £10.95 excluding delivery, but http://www.mobilefun.co.uk are only charging £7.95 for the same thing, again excl. delivery.
Here's the link:
http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/product/8641.htm
Mobilefun are very reputable and reliable traders.
£2.50 delivery, thus a total of £10.45.
I know 128mb may be surplus to her requirements, but after she takes a few videos with the 3650 etc., the 128mb might not be a waste after all.
Hope this helps.

Did anyone see that post by Bobafett here? He posted a link to another thread about making a donation...it didn't quite make sense. I think it must've been deleted.
EDIT: Ok here's the link...it sounds pretty confusing at first but it sort of makes sense as you read further.

@bongzino: Dunno a anywhere in SA that sells that but somewhere, there is probably someone using something like this.
It's looks pretty daring...who in his right mind is going to chop up his sim card and risk damaging it in the process? All for the sake of fitting two sim cards in one phone...Why can't you just buy a second phone?

Ay, I think this is better than two phones.
Anyway I really need one. |
