Keep this in mind: that 6s on P20 Pro is not really 6s. It takes multiple shots and combines those into one.

It's still something that work very well. Isn't ?
I wonder why SONY slowest shutter speed is only 1s.

Ppl dont want tripods.
Almost impossible to be steady more than 1s.
Even 1s is hard..
Must be the answer... |

Very often others will implement features that Sony Mobile thinks that it dun seems practical. Eg Bezeless display will have an issue of holding a phone well while commuting. 6 sec shutter speed like you said need a tripod, on daily basis who will bring tripod around? Note is cool with stylus but how often do we see the users use the stylus? |

Well yeah. That's it.
The real 6s need the tripod so the tricky feature like what Huawei phone has is somewhat a good thing.

Not that good actually, especially when shooting with some moving objects. |

I see ppl on youtube, XB etc asking for 30s shutter.
So unless you have big tripod and decide to shoot sky at night, why would someone set 30s?
Imagine yourself waiting for 30s to see if your pic is good.
Also P20p 6s makes part of the scene very artificial, sky usually.
I could not find if Dual Cam lets you choose SS when iso goes 51200.
I am curious to see if we can use 1s + 51200 what happens, of course if it's possible.
I just know base ISO is 200 when it's on and 50 when it's off.
I hope they find way to make it work for Macro..
Just dont understand why BW and bokeh are not out of box, but updates next month.
That guy on youtube, Pixel Peepers, looks like he is photographer.
He explained on video XZ2 x Alpha 6000 , that often you think texture ( wall, flowers, clothing, skin) is detail but actually is oversharpening.
And smartphones have a lot, all brands. In his opinion LG phones are those that use more.
He also says Sony has best WB.
His personal phone seems to be s9+, so it is neutral opinion.

In an interview, a sony's engineer said that the shutter speed was limited to 1 second because the sensor gets too hot.
In the Huawei Camera app my P9 can shoot in a longer shutter speed but its kinda fake.
When i shoot raw on Adobe Lightroom the longer shutter speed is 1sec, just like the Xperias. |

His personal phone is V30.

So the long shutter speed on every phone actually the fake thing ? or is it just for Huawei phone ?

Untill now, only HTC and Huawei heavily marketing their phone can shot long exposure. I don't have HTC, but some people can do light printing with it. So, it is a good evidence that it is a real. Samsung s9+ can be adjust to 10s but no one use it. I just saw an official picture shoot at 1.125s.
Huawei and SONY have the most highest mp among the market. More pixel means more heat. Even in the Alpha camera, a6300 still got overhead issue in a metal body. RX100 are similar.
Sony is poor on controlling heat anyway. Also, Phone should be shoot by hand but not tripod. It is almost impossible to hold a phone steadily in a few seconds. So, Samsung make a large aperture and combine 20 picture into 1 . Sony use dual camera and ultra-high ISO. |

About heat , that's true.. Even the mirrorless can show pop up warning if you use video.
If you check bitrate value of HD, Full 30, Full 60 and 4K 30 from flagships Sony has the highest.
I think Htc is the only one that can match..
XZ records 4K 56Mbps, U11 54Mbps, S9+ 48Mbps, Pixel 2 XL 41Mbps, iX 46Mbs.. These all 4K30
Bonus: on weibo someone tried to mock Premium saying screen is worse than last model, also promoting the U12+. Buks answeed that Premium wrgb has 900 nits while u12 barely pass 400.

*cough*....XZ2P is the first smartphone to use MLCD+ screen from LGD, but not the first one to sells so G7 took the crown...
And the heat is actually from the processor, but the sensor damage is true but not that serious....
