So the BST-34 is exactly the same size as the 33. Meaing that phones like the K800, M600 and P990 can use it to achieve longer battery life?

Currently I have SE K750i and can send/receive AOL and Gmail via push email using the GPRS. Can P990i do the same thing? (IMAP or POP3).
Thank you.

Yes it can, i have mine set to automatically download my gmail emails every couple of hours and it works brilliantly well. Also IMAP is supported too.

Isn't push email a feature where the email will be pushed to your phone automatically when for example gmail receives it? Does the P990i have this feature? Or does it just pull the emails every hour or whatever time increment you ask for it to be pulled at?

Your right, with gmail it doesnt automatically push the message onto your device like Blackberry does. So no the p990 does not have this feature yet as its due to be available either in a firmware update or as a download and install file.
My p990i just checks ie logs onto gmail and my account to check if there are any emails for me. If i didnt set an interval then it wouldnt check gmail unless i initiate the send/receive function. |

You mention gmail as not being able to use as a push email on the P990i as of yet. Are there any mail servers that could be used as push email on the P990i? Also if so, how would I go about doing so. Any help would be appreciated. |

Ok... Here are my initial view of the 990 after a 3 day use...
Pros..
Looks nice, feels nice, nice camera, easy to lock/unlock phone, wi-fi is nice, hasn't crashed after the update
Cons..
- the jog dial. I don't think I have used it much (unlike the p910). The removal of the in/out movement is a killer
- still a little slow even after the update (was much slower before)
- hate the back button on the side (or I guess I'd have to get used to it)
- not that easy to use, unlike the p910 (again, might have to get used to it)
- So far, can't seem to find out how to customize the icons on the main menu screen
over all.. while the p910 was 70% Phone / 30% PDA... This is more like 50/50... Not as easy to use as a phone. |

@slaymaan
if you don't use Jot the unselect the hand writting recognition feature and you'll see an improved response from the user interface
